3.13 Player wishing to rejoin the match

(a)

A player who has a blood injury which has uncontrolled active bleeding must leave the playing area. The player must not return until the bleeding is controlled and the wound has been covered.

(b)

A player who leaves a match because of injury or any other reason must not rejoin the match until the referee permits the player to return. The referee must not let a player rejoin a match until the ball is dead.

(c)

If a player rejoins or a replacement/substitute joins the match without the referee’s permission, and the referee believes the player did so to help that player’s team or obstruct the opposing team, the referee penalises the player for misconduct.

Sanction: A penalty kick is awarded at the place where play would restart.

Addit: I've just seen IR's blow up about the law discussion. Sorry. Doing this on Tapatalk so can't CnP it out early. Will fix tomorrow. -

Cool we have two silvers already, with the prospect of another medal very soon in equestrian if Sir Mark can keep his nose up and over the long white lengths. (And the others don't crap out, after a really, really good cross country.)

The Czech definitely backed off -

Maths a bit wrong: At this point, New Zealand has one rail in hand over Australia, but Australia cannot have a rail to stay in front of France.

4 fences down. Burton has two fences down meaning both us and Aussie slip behind both France (gold) AND Germany (silver). Aussie get bronze and we're fourth.

Individual jumping is later, but 4 fences down means Mark Todd unlikely to be in the medals for that either as scores are carried forward.

Gutted. We'd never won team gold before despite our pedigree and that must've been our best ever chance.
-
