Really hope Hubbard wins the gold.
Not because I support him/her, but because I want to see the firestorm of resentment triggered by it.Then I want to see the woke brigade doubling down and transgenders competing in the women's 100m etc next Olympics next time. Hilarious stuff. Clown world.
Good way to dominate the 4x medley events...

It's not about the bike.. but here's some stats for you...
NZ team avanti - don't make them anymore they're from 2016 and any floating around last year you could pick them up for $3,500 nzd.
Poms bike frame. Developed by over 40 engineers from Lotus. Frame alone 15,000 pounds.
Malaysia win the prize for most spensy.. 25,000 pounds for the frame - made in the UK by some F1 crowd. Their handlebar for bunch events is 10,000 POUNDS!! (side note you'll see a lot of riders racing on a bar made and designed in nz - looks kinda like it has brake hoods on it to hold onto - look like a bargain at $1,200 bucks)
yank Felt is $25,000 USD - whole bike.
Dutch Koga - 10k pounds.
The others - Look, FES, Pinarellos, argon .. all up towards min 10k euros for frames alone.
serious dosh

Possibly for the Trans thread but I'll post here.
A heads up about interview with Ross Tucker, Seffrican sports scientist, by Eliot Smith on ZB after 1pm on Sunday.
Repeats stuff from his podcast I posted a while back, but more succinctly and clearly.
His take is you can have fairness, inclusion and safety. Pick two. (Mind you safety doesn't always apply, so one or tother.)
Meant to be NZ professor (Not sure what of) on tonight who has the woke view. May listen.

@machpants so does that just put them out?
Times so far pretty rapid.

@taniwharugby Yeah I think that's it - but I'm no expert, bloody confusing system of getting results in this sport
-
Fuuuuuck that would have hurt

I think they made some signal thing that means they get a restart - after everyone else has been.

GB can't deliver the goods and they sit in 4th behind us in 3rd. Comms can't say if Oz will race. They think the aussies will pull the pin
-
Not looking good for us in the evening. The jump course isn’t challenging the better riders at all. No movement at all in order from the first rotation and no one gaining any ground either.
Barring a France or Aus rider having a meltdown we will be stuck in fourth. -

I think they've pulled the pin. The must have ridden nearly a km and that guy is munted. Not sure why you'd be allowed another go if you crash, anyway? Seems odd, but I've no idea.
I thought we looked just about the most well-drilled - though not the most powerful.
Danes were impressive but shed their first rider miles from home - their three best riders will have to put in three mighty big shifts if they continue with that.
I presume we will race Italy to make the final?

Snapped base bar very unusual !
Chicks bit disappointing. Expected more.
Hope Aussie’s knock the poms out!!
