Barega going backwards at a rate of knots. Can't understand why he went so hard to catch Kissa.
Seems he did it for shits and giggles. Imagine doing that twice!

Those 10km dudes are insane. Need a feed though. Look like they’ve been through Dachau.

I thought it was 5 sets like normal tennis! but its over!
Doubles is never 5 sets, only men’s grand slam matches are 5 sets.
Great win. An unexpected medal for sure.
Every day's a school day 👍🏻

Olympic doubles isn't even 3 sets, it's two sets and a first to 11 super tie break!

I hope Venus and Daniell got a nice welcome home too. Winning the first tennis medal at an Olympics for NZ since Anthony Wilding in 1912 is special
Time to be pedantic. Anthony Wilding did not win his bronze medal in 1912 for New Zealand as we did not field a team that year. All New Zealanders that went to those games competed as part of the team called Australasia. Shades of the current Russian competitors not being part of the Russia Team by being designated stateless and consigned to represent the Russian Olympic Committee rather than the country called Russia!!!
On a more serious note ne sacrificed his life at the Battle of Aubers Ridge at Neuve Chapelle in northern France when aged just 31.

Nyika into the SF so guaranteed a medal.
I missed it as the Sky on screen schedule is all fucked up from the delays.
When is the SF scheduled for?
Nyika's SF is on Tuesday at 3:18 pm NZT.

Thanks for the clarification. So that is why media said it was NZs first ever tennis medal. He remains as our only Wimbledon champion, and one of so many to be tragically lost in the Great War as you say.

Does NZ still horse like in the Mark Todd, Not the Tait days?
Mrs Boo just found horse dancing on the 7+ app.
