Christ mate - how many opportunities do I have to give you to gracefully bail out of the conversation?

I certainly haven't learned anything from you from this discussion - the points made seem to be pretty fucking obvious. You can either believe that the Tier 1 record is the real record or the international teams record is the real record.

I don't think anyone is under any illusion as to what the respective records mean.

So..why the fuck are you still attacking me? 🙂

Frankly, I'm not really interested in pissing contests - if people want to have good-natured discussions with me about footy than I'm ready to engage, but I can't be bothered with this stuff.

If you can't be bothered then why in Buddas' name waste time with the Hayden-Interviewer thing?

Anyway, I don't think the actual real proper record will be broken tonight. I'm feeling a draw or loss. Hope I'm wrong.

    Buddha...........

    You're Welcome

What is it with this thread and pendants?

Never been happier to be wrong about the result of a game. Still reckon we'll get beaten once this year. Just hope it isn't against farking Ireland.

    Pedant alert. "Pedant".

    You're welcome

    🙂

We launch a major multi-media series as Murray Kinsella journeys to the heart of a national obsession.

Awesome, will follow what they write. Some actual journalism on the ABs is pretty refreshing.

    🤔 That's a conundrum - which would I prefer:

    1. Wallabies beat All Blacks at Eden Park for first time in decades
    2. Ireland beat All Blacks for the first time ever

    ???

The Aussies, so we could at least test their humility.

Well, I guess we should just put that whole thing to bed.
Just 3 wins next year, and the whole "Tier 1" distinction is irrelevant, yeah?
Kinda like us only ever having won the World Cup at home... this team sweeping all that bullshit aside, making things simple.

That you only can win world cups at home thing pissed me off more than the choking tag before it , because it was stupid

I mean if you look at away from home test wins , no one comes close to the ABs ,

I was wondering what was going to be next ........ we can only win world cups on saturdays

Pretty sure 2011 was a Sunday (can't be bothered checking) because was Labour Day holiday on the Monday.

If that was the case then "can only win World Cups on Weekends" works.

I was at the game and I cant bloody remember 😀

As mentioned elsewhere no fait accompli. Think the Wobs have improved and the team looks to have a better shape anout it.

    Fingers crossed.

Stop your bullshit. This is 18, no doubt. It'll be 20+ before the year's end.

Your coach has finally picked the right combinations, and made your team much more competitive. You can see the game plan too with that massive pack, and plenty of line out height to fix that issue.

I expect to win (it's hard not to with this streak), but I don't expect a thrashing this time.

Im expecting the scoreline to look like it was en easy win ,

But the game itself to be competitive for most parts with us kicking away a bit towards the end.

The Wallabies should be up for this one .

THIS AB team is not losing to THAT Aussie team at EDEN PARK.

It's as fait accompli-ish as you can get.

No doubt you were in the "Boks will run us close" camp too...

    Have some faith bro.

(And quote me this post if we lose. I'll be more sheepish than sheep)

I just look at the Australian team and can't see where the points come from. As posted elsewhere they haven't scored against the ABs at full strength in the past 3.5 games. Even with the adjustments I don't see how you could pencil the Aussies in for anymore than 2 tries with a straight face.

I don't see how the ABs score less than 3.

It really will take a lot to break wrong for the Wallabies to get up, but as with the Argies and Boks and many Bledisloes past, every chance the Aussies are within striking distance at the half.

The 2015-2016 All Blacks team, coaches, and support crew have attained the world record! Congratulations to all involved, and NZ is proud of you. What a fantastic team to watch play, and to support.

Thanks Booboo, great effort on multiple threads, your work is finally done!

Now, good luck for the rest of the year, especially Ireland and France at home (that is the one I ost worry about...). Go for 22 and the second unbeaten professional season.

Commiserations to Australia, you played well in a worthy and mostly tense match.

    Bloody fantastic!

As I have said the last couple of times we've got close and started out again to be able to achieve the record they have to go unbeaten through a Rugby Championship and Bledisloe series.

That's a significant achievement in itself.

Perhaps slightly easier now as we only play RSA twice not three times.

Now all we need to do is go unbeaten through EOYT and whitewash the Lions ..

"Young Irish players now based in New Zealand helped us to appreciate the differences in the approach to rugby in the land of the long white cloud"

Fucking Kiwi poachers. I fucking knew it. All this time, they've been spoofing about taking PIs, when they were snatching Paddies.

Fucking knew that Brendan Barrett fella looked familiar. And yer man Ciaran Reid, though he probably wouldn't make the squad anyway, but still.....

Great to tick that one off and hopefully they can extend it.
Another aspect that hasn't been talked anout much is the potential unbeaten season repeat from a few years back. Hopefully Ireland don't give us the same scare as last time though.

But what have we ticked off? I don't want to regurgitate this but to me there is only one record and that is the test record.

More important for me is as you say matching the feat from 2012 and getting an unbeaten calendar year season. For what has so far been an excellent season it would be disappointing to regress at this point.

You are right. That one has been debated. If you don't see a difference then good for you.
Plenty of people clearly do, including the players so there you go.
