I'm probably jinxing it but I don't see us losing this year.
22 wins on the trot. Lock it in.
Winning the rest of this years tests is the easy part. Figuring out which "real" records they break isn't so easy....

Cyprus hold the record. End of. Lithuania in second IIRC.

In this case it's like comparing the innings batting record in test cricket with the 1,000 odd runs scored by that school kid in India. A distinction has to be made between the elite level and a level that is, quite frankly, a complete joke.
maybe we need to go back to defining what is a "test match" as opposed to an international?
Should the ABs win next week it will be a far more legit record than Cyprus or Lithuania.
The "caveat" is Tier 1: read that as "Test matches".

Well, I guess we should just put that whole thing to bed.
Just 3 wins next year, and the whole "Tier 1" distinction is irrelevant, yeah?
Kinda like us only ever having won the World Cup at home... this team sweeping all that bullshit aside, making things simple. That you only can win world cups at home thing pissed me off more than the choking tag before it , because it was stupid
I mean if you look at away from home test wins , no one comes close to the ABs ,
I was wondering what was going to be next ........ we can only win world cups on saturdays
Pretty sure 2011 was a Sunday (can't be bothered checking) because was Labour Day holiday on the Monday.
If that was the case then "can only win World Cups on Weekends" works.

Christ mate - how many opportunities do I have to give you to gracefully bail out of the conversation?
I certainly haven't learned anything from you from this discussion - the points made seem to be pretty fucking obvious. You can either believe that the Tier 1 record is the real record or the international teams record is the real record.
I don't think anyone is under any illusion as to what the respective records mean.
So..why the fuck are you still attacking me?
Frankly, I'm not really interested in pissing contests - if people want to have good-natured discussions with me about footy than I'm ready to engage, but I can't be bothered with this stuff.
If you can't be bothered then why in Buddas' name waste time with the Hayden-Interviewer thing?
Anyway, I don't think the actual real proper record will be broken tonight. I'm feeling a draw or loss. Hope I'm wrong.
Buddha...........
You're Welcome
What is it with this thread and pendants?
Never been happier to be wrong about the result of a game. Still reckon we'll get beaten once this year. Just hope it isn't against farking Ireland.
Pedant alert. "Pedant".
You're welcome

Awesome, will follow what they write. Some actual journalism on the ABs is pretty refreshing.

That's a conundrum - which would I prefer:
- Wallabies beat All Blacks at Eden Park for first time in decades
- Ireland beat All Blacks for the first time ever
???
The Aussies, so we could at least test their humility.

Stop your bullshit. This is 18, no doubt. It'll be 20+ before the year's end.
Your coach has finally picked the right combinations, and made your team much more competitive. You can see the game plan too with that massive pack, and plenty of line out height to fix that issue.
I expect to win (it's hard not to with this streak), but I don't expect a thrashing this time.
-
Im expecting the scoreline to look like it was en easy win ,
But the game itself to be competitive for most parts with us kicking away a bit towards the end.
The Wallabies should be up for this one .

@booboo said in 17 in a row ... gunning for 18:
As mentioned elsewhere no fait accompli.
THIS AB team is not losing to THAT Aussie team at EDEN PARK.
It's as fait accompli-ish as you can get.
No doubt you were in the "Boks will run us close" camp too...
Have some faith bro.
(And quote me this post if we lose. I'll be more sheepish than sheep)
-
I just look at the Australian team and can't see where the points come from. As posted elsewhere they haven't scored against the ABs at full strength in the past 3.5 games. Even with the adjustments I don't see how you could pencil the Aussies in for anymore than 2 tries with a straight face.
I don't see how the ABs score less than 3.
It really will take a lot to break wrong for the Wallabies to get up, but as with the Argies and Boks and many Bledisloes past, every chance the Aussies are within striking distance at the half.
-
And we have done!
We've knocked the bugger off!
Watch out Cyprus, were gunning for you!!!😎
