2016 Black Ferns

Was at the match and really enjoyed it.
Ferns built into the game and those big units who came on the second half actually made quite a big difference.
Gave us go forward and sucked the defence into the rucks and mauls.
Nice to see Hohepa playing again.
She was simply unbelievable during the 2010 RWC and seemed to have dropped out over the last few years.

A bit hard to watch this game because only one camera was used and they didn't zoom in much. Sometimes difficult see which player had the ball. The game wasn't as good as the first test v England. The Ferns gave away too many penalties and had 2 players sent to the bin (Canada one), but often no idea why due to the poor filming and the fact that the commentator was a Canadian Comms Officer. Black Ferns defence was solid and fullback Winiata is an awesome player who always seems to find her way to and over the try line.

That pass in the first try was a cracker.

Still a lot of work-ons, but this has been an excellent tour for the Ferns. Good prep for the World Cup next year. Hope they get some more games before they return to Ireland though. Too much time between this tour and the WRWC.

In the second video in this article, there is some footage of the game. Haven't seen any highlights video yet.
Good to hear in that interview that there will be a series of games in NZ, before the BFs go to Ireland for the World Cup. Hopefully with some good opposition and not just Australia.
