Love at 10, Higgins and Proctor in the reserves. Hohepa dropped. Best team news yet.

What a crazy year for Callum Harkin. From only playing club footy up to age 25 to kicking the winning goal in the NPC Final and starting for the canes, at full back no less.

Absolute must win for the Canes. There’s certainly plenty of firepower to come on from the bench. Still don’t get the continued selection of Enari. Vijoen was great coming off the bench in the big win against the Tahs and then he gets dropped. Just doesn’t make sense, especially after Enari cocked it up last week.

Overall, a very solid side but the Force have been very good at home so will need to be a big performance to topple them.

The thing I’m most excited about in this game is the head to head between Tizzano and Kirifi. Both historically undersized 7s by international standards that play almost exactly the same way. Two best 7s in the comp in my view.

Billy Proctor’s return to the Canes is massive, arguably the most infuential player on this team in my view. Last year he only lost one game and that was the semi final loss to the Chiefs. Hopefully he can bring those winnings ways back to this side to hopefully boost our top 6 chances.

I like the flexibility of having Proctor and Higgins on the bench with Harkin playing 15 (and backup 10 behind Love).

Much better than shoehorning in Hohepa somewhere and one of the above 4 players missing out on the 23

    Much happier with this team.
I couldn't understand selecting the very average Hohepa and not giving Love a chance, I'd even prefer Harkin at 10.
Looking forward to seeing how Love goes, he just seems like he would be a better 10 than 15, but guess we finally get to find out.
Finally get the big guns back in Proctor and Higgens, little too late to save this season though.

I must admit I like the look of Love at 10, not a huge fan of Harkin though, to me he's an average to good NPC player who can kick goals, but will hopefully do job. Certainly not worse than Hohepa by any means, and we are certainly short of fit players at 10/15.

ABC will be thrilled to get a mention after over 40 years.

Canes in absolute must win territory now, hopefully the comeback against the Crusaders spurs them on to win this one well.

Big game for the Canes tonight. Really looking forward to seeing how Love runs the team. Roigard hasn’t hit his lofty heights from last year yet so hopefully this is the game he kicks into gear.

    It’s do or die time.

Very quick ball by the Canes so far. Love’s pass is so much crisper than Hohepa.
