Some interesting selection for week 1. JJ focused on a strong second half and bringing some impact on through Fakatava to lift the energy. Exciting team. Keep in mind Fakatava missed a fair chunk of pre season due to injury so an easing him back in approach makes sense.

The more people that support the franchise, the better resourced it can be. Why also give something away for free that you pay for.
For those of us that don't directly support the Landers but want the inside information.

Wouldn’t read into that at all. As I said above, it’s been stated he didn’t work through a full pre season so I suspect they’ll manage his minutes the first few weeks.
The more interesting selection is Manson getting a starting spot after being promised a bench spot!

Wouldn’t read into that at all. As I said above, it’s been stated he didn’t work through a full pre season so I suspect they’ll manage his minutes the first few weeks.

Arscott has completely fallen off the cliff too.
Interesting that the great hope Millar has been shelved for Robinson. Especially having started in the two pre-season games.
Excited by the wingers. Just don't know who is going to pass them the ball.
I thought Lasaqa may have started over Withy.
A bit shocked we are persevering with DLB.

I wouldn’t read too much into Millar being ‘Shelved’ I think he and Fakatava are being eased into a long season and I’d view this as something as a rest week given they’ll have large workloads.
Daniel Lienert Brown actually looked really sharp last week. Wonder if JJ lit a bit of a fuse under him. Remember that in the 2016-7 period a lot of people felt he’d be an all black. He’s always had potential just needs good coaching to bring it out.
Naeta at six suprises me, but he did have a good game last week. Nice to see JJ rewarding form. I’m excited for this game.

Yeah you’ll see in the landers press conference on YouTube that he mentions Fakatava not having a full pre season due to off season knee surgery. Nothing to read into in round 1, fair few sure starters aren’t starting for NZ sides.
