@KiwiMurph Canes will improve. They were very good in the first half, just erred in the second
Of course the Canes will improve, for two sides with so many players out I thought the footy was bloody good tonight.
I thought when Walker-Leawere went off the Canes that was a bit of a turning point for the Canes. Plummer was definitely a drop down and we lost a few crucial lineouts because of it.
Was a bit weird. Things just seemed to stop happening. Godfrey was not perfect, but he at least had some spark. Everything was static off Hohepa.

Doesn't get much easier with the Drua next week, followed by the Blues at home. Ideally it would be nice to win both of those.

As a neutral, that was an entertaining game, well reffed for the most part.
Pleased to have rugby back.

You'll smoke the Drua at home next week. The Drua don't travel well.

Wheeler is such a knob.
I wish we had some decent commentary and analysis
I don't bother watching anything but the game. It's painful to listen to.

Yup just tune in before kickoff and then turn it away straight after the final whistle.

Says a lot about the quality of Sky when they decide Wheeler is suitable as a pundit

Why was I supporting the Sith?
You always do, don't you?
No ... I think I was supporting the underdog. But in what world we're those guys the underdog. Maybe I felt sorry for Rob Penney. And I had Reece in my Fantasy team ...

Dude what were you smoking, canes ewre always on a hiding. Vs saders at home with a grand total of one AB (one tenth the caps)? Supported the wrong side if you were going for the dogs!

Exactly my point ... I think I still have sympathy from last year ...

Roigard's kicking was really poor. His clearance and decision making was slow, and he provided no leadership or structure in the 2nd half.
Not looking good for Hurricanes. Might miss playoffs.
First game
Another fine analysis.

Enjoyed the game, even if Canes did lose. Thought Crusaders certainly deserved win, Canes need to get some players back. Young Harkin and wing (can't remember name off hand 7s player) tried hard but were pretty lost on defence. Harkin will be ok with experience , but looked out of his depth to me. Still in general thought it was ok.
