All Blacks v Japan

Good test for Proctor actually, really rate Riley.
The Japan midfield is pretty robust with both Riley and McCurran.
-
Surely the creaking Razor bandwagon will be empty if they name Beauden at 10 against England after playing DMac all year, just because he looked OK against an awful Wallabies team at home.

That Japanese team would have one of the higher number of non-Japanese born players in recent years.
Its putrid. I dont even think international coaches should be foreign.
Having Gatland coaching the Lions was just ridiculous while we are at it.
Disappointing Japan lineup, considering its one of the more homogenous, immigration shy, nations in the world these days.

@Machpants I expect to see Ratima and McKenzie in the halves still...
As mentioned here, DMac starting in Japan means razor see'experienced' ten Beaudy as top choice
I disagree, I think they're giving McKenzie a run against Japan so that he doesn't go into the England match having not played decent minutes in over a month.
Could be wrong!
That would mean 4 games in a row, can't see it. There's a reason why the to team went to UK, so they can prepare for a torrid 3 weeks
So you don't think Sam Cane or Wallace Sititi are in the top team either then?
McKenzie played five games in a row for the Chiefs to round out the Super season, had one weekend off and then played three more in a row for the All Blacks. I suspect he can handle four games in a row now after a four week break.
They will need to make heavy use of the bench in this game and rotate players through this EOYT series.

@Nepia said in All Blacks v Japan:
They have to start rotating the 10s now so that they can claim there's no clear number 1 for when their little overhyped Cantab comes back ....
that depends, he fully deserves the hype at SR level, his impact (and Whitelock's) was greater than Carter and McCaw who often went through the motions until they got into AB camp. Mo'unga always delivered at SR level except for his first season under Slackadder, i do agree that the hype is unwarranted regarding his All Black performances.
without Mo'unga and Whitelock Razor probably wins 2-3 titles instead of 7.

Someone told me SR form didn't matter.... π£

I expect at least a 30 point thrashing.

Japan isn't that good

I get the impression Razor and co have lost the TSF room (not the red and black corner perhaps).
Personally I thought we were up against quality teams.
On the other hand the inability to change tack or keep the momentum was IMHO a reflection on the second half coaching. And not a good one. -

As a Scots fan Iβm all for foreign born players.
They just made one of them captain !

I'll be at the game but having been at Nissan Stadium before, I am not sure if I will be able to identify any of the players. You couldn't design a worse stadium for viewing rugby. Oh, well....a few beers and I'll get into the atmosphere and watch the game on TV afterwards.

Anyone know if this is going to be on UK TV?
With just over 24 hours until kick off there doesn't seem to be a TV deal in place.
Mentioned above that one of the Pay TV providers supposedly have a deal in place (but that's looking questionable at this stage).

I'm not in the cantablack group. What he needs to do is
A) look to the future, drop some dead wood
B] give Wayne Smith the boot and realise that 2015 attacking rugby is not winning rugby anymore
