All Blacks vs Wallabies 2

Players that should be rested:
Taylor, Lomax, A. Savea, D Mac, J.Barrett, R. Ioane
Why?
I'd be terrified of a front row selection that didn't have Taylor in the 23.
Savea needs to be dropped. At least to the bench. Sititi deserves a start at his preferred position and not against Italy.
Cane was poor against the Wallabies. Not poor by his standards, but genuinely poor. Start Dalton if he's fit.
Blindside can be either Finau or Ethan (if he isn't injured).
If we rest Jordie (who I thought had his best game in Black this year) then surely we can't give ALB a start after that?
Rieko was very good on the weekend but Proctor could come off the bench.
I want Plummer to get some actual time with the ball.

@antipodean that sounds logical 😊

On Jordie, think he is injured?

I am seeing a fault with the coach(es) of not being ruthless enough with the underperforming incumbents.
Obviously it cant be easy not selecting an experienced AB in the run on match day 15.
But this is much easier than in the past where now you don't have to completely drop someone from the 23.
A ride on the pine could get back the shine.
The young fullas have saved us this year from a complete disaster. -

JB did his MCL so is out for a few weeks.
So we're left with ALB after his last effort or Havili..?

Because we should be more worried about England, Ireland and France away than 10th in world Australia who we should beat by 30+ points at home even with the changes.

So your idea is to rest some of the players we're relying on in the vain hope another loss at home will somehow transform new guys into world beaters?

@booboo Sevu was like a headless chook, too small at the cleanouts and not as accurate as Telea. Sotutu will probably force his way in through injuries.
Only if there is an injury to Jason Ryan
-
@antipodean Australia are ranked 10th in the world. Below Fiji. We can rest 6 or 7 guys and still beat them by 30+ points.

Guessing you didn't watch our last game.
-
@antipodean I did.
Let's stop pretending that beating Australia is a big achievement.
The away games against England, Ireland and France are all going to be much more challenging.

No shit Sherlock. So the win against a donkey opposition by only three points should have you concerned about replacing most of the good players for the next fixture.

I think Sparky is saying the Bled is won, and a loss at home for Test 2 against Australia is not as important or as valuable as winning on the northern tour.
Not sure that is my preference but I see the reasoning. -
Winning Wallabies 2 is very important. Small steps.

@nostrildamus Sort of.
Australia were lucky to keep it close yesterday. I can't see them doing that two weeks in a row. Australia at home is the most straight-forward fixture of the AB's season.
