Winza win.
Team would look vey different with A Smith, S Whitelock and R Mo'unga.
Yet Ratima* and Vaai* have stepped into those shoes pretty easily and were outstanding tonight and let's face it, Mo'unga was a pretty average 10.
I have no problems with Robertson losing games while he tries out and develops new players or decides to stick with experience and battle-hardened players to get results, but at the moment we have the worst of both worlds.
.* I'm finding it bloody ironic that these two only got starts due to injuries

@nta will be gutted he missed that comeback, especially when you consider he’s gone to watch a band who’s sole claim to fame is a shitty cover of ‘Black Betty’
Exactly what I'd expect from someone who only listens to Top 40 radio.

What's the logic in taking off your best player Ratima early in the 2nd half.
I don't get it. -
@BerniesCorner none if he is still positively contributing
-
Assertive leadership is a big problem too. This is literally the difference between winning and losing at this level.
SA I and II, Aus I all close.
GOAT could have been 3-0 here. (pure conjecture of course, but f**k how many rabbits did he pull out of the hat) -

I don't get it.There might have been a reason, but It's not as if the "close the game down" option worked.

With Surf Features having a bazillion assistant coaches for no apparent reason and even less discernible value, I resorted to Google to double check that Scott Hansen is allegedly the Defence Coach of the All Blacks.
Is it policy that AB's Defence coaches now have to have the first name Scott? And why is the new bloke as useless as McLeod?
Pretty much every time the Australians were hot on attack in our 22, it just seemed we were going to eventually fold and wave them through.
Fuk yeah. No wonder Macca quit. Starting to think Macca should have been the one in charge. Hansen, Ellison ain't cutting the mustard at this level. Mind you having said that, it appears we dont have the cattle to choose from either. Is this the reason they are hanging onto some; looking at you Ardie, TJ, ALB well past their best. So farking frustrating!

Ryan Crotty available? Very good defensive back, Gits has big wraps on him as a player, may work as a defensive coach.
-
@Victor-Meldrew Ratima did have a stinga after great hit on Korobete
Maybe he was struggling with it - otherwise surely he should have been on longer -
Looks like the ABs switched off early in the 2nd half, just as I did.
Or did Aus pull themselves out of the fire, cos that's what would be best.
What is it though, our final quarters are poor, is it overall fitness, or is our bench just that much of a drop?
-
@taniwharugby Both I reckon

You know that’s not true. Terrible trolling.

He's got the ABs playing pretty good rugby for 40-60 minutes. I wouldn't say Foster had the team looking this good for those periods
Have a look at the last 3 games of the RWC and tell me we haven't gone backwards and Robertson has this team looking better for longer periods.
You can thank the Wallaby coach for that. It seemed like a dumb move at the time to not keep him in AB rugby
He wouldn't stay mate. Was a pissed at the timing of Razor being given the job etc.

Thing that keeps coming into my head is the team isn't fit enough for our game plan. To be repeatedly run down in last 20 minutes and way it's happening says nothing else to me. They look gassed metally, and really truglling, which usually means brain is getting starved of oxygen? It's happening to often to draw any other conclusion!

It wasn’t just the last 20, they scored 3 points in the second half. Failed to build pressure. Lots of things were off:
- scrum didn’t dominate. I expected more.
- Damien didn’t ice try scoring opportunities
- our back line attack looked off in 2nd half. ALB?
- Ardie turned the ball over a number of times on attack
- we didn’t win collisions on d. A real lack of offensive tackling.I hate seeing players carrying the attacker backwards in your own 20, looking for them to fall for a turnover opportunity. Is that because we are gassed?

@Donsteppa I'm more interested in finding out who's in charge of conditioning... This person needs their credentials checked.
Nick Gill.. over a decade he's been in charge of S&C for the AB's
I know he got an average feedback review from the players under Fozzie so surprised he still there under new regime
