I can see why Sititi is seen as having leadership potential. Dude rips in and actually leads by example.
He Ratima TJP and maybe Vaa'i looked the leaders on the field to me.

First three Aussie tries came from defensive howlers by Ardie Savea and the fourth by one by DMac.
First was Sam cane missing the tackle on faessler
Cane made good tackles and missed important ones. That is his main feature so if he can't do that consistently I'd look around for a successor.

Aumua might be the biggest disappointment in supposed talent of the last five years.
His clean work was fucking atrocious, and his running game seems to have disappeared . And then there is the set piece - or more correctly lack of set piece.
They need to give Bell a chance at hooker.
If there was any selection pressure, yes.
But that’s not how it seems to be at all.
Aumua has gone down hill and seems a liability and handbrake from the bench where I would have thought he'd make an ideal impact player.

Another reason to give Bell a chance is Samisoni is back soon
I hope he's improved his throwing if he does get a go. His throwing was hideous during super rugby.

You would hope specialist throwing coach Corey Flynn would be helping there....
From memory vs Fiji Bell's throwing looked much better.

Ha ha ha, you’re fucking kidding me right, the definition of can’t do, so teach, is the AB throwing coach?
Jobs for the bros.

At scrum time, Ethan de Groot's left leg is very far back. Not only does this cause him to lose power, it also throws him off balance and he tends to lose his footing. He always looks overextended. Williams looks a better scrummager to me. Tosi scrummed well. His run was powerful and impressive. He should have come in sooner as Lomax looked cooked. The game was not as physical as the two against SA but there were a lot of runs, thanks to two poor defences.

Wonder what went wrong with him and MacDonald?

1 Ethan de Groot, didn't look matchfit
2 Codie Taylor, relatively quiet by his recent high standards
3 Tyrel Lomax, also quiet but good
4 Scott Barrett (captain), losing impact but industrious
5 Tupou Vaa’i, very good
6 Wallace Sititi, heroic, best loosie
7 Sam Cane, some good and bad, seemed slow on occasion, big hits and big misses
8 Ardie Savea, tried too hard at times, does he trust his loosies? Had issues with ball security-may have been targetted
9 Cortez Ratima, very good, sound decisions, has some speed and strength
10 Damian McKenzie, kicked conversions well, had speed, some shocking headless passing
11 Caleb Clarke, great except for yellow-card lapse
12 Jordie Barrett, mostly pretty good I felt
13 Rieko Ioane, pretty good overall, looked more of a winger than Reece when he was on the side of the paddock, I can't remember how many crap passes he had though
14 Sevu Reece, tried very hard, mostly ineffectual, lacks speed strength and deception at top level
15. Will Jordan looks far more dangerous than BB but also looked flakey at times and hesitant on defenceBench:
16 Asafo Aumua, not a great game, would have trouble keeping #2 hooker role
17 Tamaiti Williams, tried hard to get into game, I'd probably start with him, most mobile prop on field IMO
18 Pasilio Tosi, looked flustered, perhaps due to pace of game
19 Sam Darry, I didn't notice him come on?
20 Luke Jacobson, I didn't see him do much, seems to be a backup player rather than an impact player
21 TJ Perenara, best impact off bench, great kick, great tackling
22 Anton Lienert-Brown, loved the bench so much he went back and spent 10 more minutes there, didn't look very fast out there
23 Harry Plummer didn't get a chance to show his wares.Overall, the bench was bad or badly handled/selected. TJP the one guiding light.

To me I feel like Ryan has him playing to a very tight structure. He doesn’t seem to be moving much from the ruck and often carries as first receiver. Yes this is part of his role but I’d like to see him have a bit of licence to roam wider where he can be devastating, and was devastating for the Canes earlier in the year.
He’s done things really well but he’s also been completely off the mark. I’m happy to be patient with him as the alternative is Bell and to me he isn’t ready yet physically. But yes, he definitely needs to be better.

Conclusion: our bench is too slow or too easily overawed.

Real freezing cold take by @NTA about the last 20 mins
Saw the score. Based on that, if the Wallabies are a pack of retards, the ABs are a stupid version of Forrest Gump

Hate to say it but the way Oz played the second half points to good coaching by Schmidt, especially after their last thrashing. Somehow Schmidt brought his team back from that disaster, they smelled AB blood in the water in the second half and full of confidence almost pulled it off. And you don’t want to play an Aussie team full of confidence. Bled 2 is going to be very interesting, and the Oz will use our shocking record in Wellington as motivation
