Well, whatever the problems are with the ABs, from what we've seen so far, Robertson really doesn't look to be the rugby savant, the super-coach with the magic solution, game-plans and blender of teams with mental skills for tough moments, does he?

After the peak of the RWC Final, we've gone backwards at an alarming rate and the excuses about players like Whitelock and Smith retiring don't wash. The best players today were their replacements.

Give Robertson more time by all means, but NZR needs a drains-up review of this team's performance to find what exactly is wrong, how to fix it, and - if the coaching team is up to the job - give them the support they need.

He's got the ABs playing pretty good rugby for 40-60 minutes. I wouldn't say Foster had the team looking this good for those periods. So to say we are going backwards I don't think is accurate. But I do agree this is beyond a massive issue.

RugbyPass rating Savea 8 and McKenzie 6. Are people insane?

Dunno about you guys, but I've been learning a lot about short-man syndrome from this coaching group.

We created lots on attack and should have finished more plus one taken by the TMO.

But defence is the issue. They have to sort that loose forward trio. Savea always backs away in the tackle and then looks to turn over. It’s just not what we need.

And he'll be a better 8 when they have the balls to drop Savea.

RugbyPass is The Roar for window lickers.

Again, our bench made no impact. We are a 40 minute team and with the current team management I cannot see any way out of this hole🚍

Have a look at the last 3 games of the RWC and tell me we haven't gone backwards and Robertson has this team looking better for longer periods.

FFS - Razor's interview on aussie coverage... the positives are pretty much "learnings".
"...big growth area..." Boo. We were promised shiny new things. We got a naked emperor.

Well, we were missing two backs for most of the second half.

But we can all guess what your solution is.

However, the story falls apart a bit when you see that it was Rieko making huge saves using his pace. His turn and catch after ALB missed one was magic.

You can thank the Wallaby coach for that. It seemed like a dumb move at the time to not keep him in AB rugby

I think we are experiencing the end result of the compound interest from previous poor decision making at executive level, sliding doors moments on the field (Lions test 2 and 3), I.P exports, player diaspora, Aura erosion and a lack of ruthlessness within the playing and coaching group.

You used to lose your job or lose your jersey when your performance wasnt up to scratch in Allblack rugby.

    Its a hippie commune now.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Ratima and Sititi on the back seats of the bus.

There are no nasty bastards or ruthless undercurrent in the team any more. I know I sound like a dinosaur, but we are now a brand to be milked as opposed to the high performance killing machine of old.

We need the odd lad smoking fags on a balcony, throwing the odd punch, and dare I say it we too in the public need to be spitting at racehorses again.
