With TJ , Iβve got no idea what he said or if it was deserved,
But he has history of being an annoying prick to refs , so it makes it difficult to go to his defence without knowing exactly what happened,
Boy cried wolf and all that

Exactly. The Nic White effect.

Think it's a mistake that Ratima who was clearly the top halfback in the early matches isn't getting the top gig.
Thought Ratima actually looked a bit overwhelmed when he came on. I really think there is something to the Ellis Park etc thing that the players talk about, I think in long run they maybe better off nursing likes of him into it a little. I thought Aumua and Darry seemed a little overwhemed too. Could of been my imagination.

He was blowing up about Boks rolling back on AB side I thought, but probably needed to point it out a little quieter??

Who do you guys think is in charge of HT tactical changes? Who has the strongest voice in the dressing room?
I assume itβs Razor mostly, but do you think BB / Cane / TJP etc have much of a say?
Because the one thing this entire forum seems to agree on from this game is that itβs the best our midfield has looked in a long time. And while I only played in the 12 jumper at a pretty low grade, I know I always played better when I saw the fucking ball sometimes
So who the hell had the brainwave to stop being patient, stop letting Jordie and Rieko do damage up the middle of the park, and instead have us put up repeated bombs from 10 / 15?
Fuck, we even stopped the attempts at long touchfinders in favour of the shorter bombs
I just donβt get why we went away from what was clearly working - keeping ball in hand and making the bastards tackle us.
Itβs like we stopped trying to win and instead tried not to lose - but even that doesnβt explain why we stopped trying to kick deep into their half
Perplexing

It was clearly a try, the ref put his hand in air and indicated such!
Yes as you say, that's a fair beerfaction.
Hey everyone life is back to normal, Dan agrees with the powers that be.
Yep and as normal some don't want to accept the laws of the game, no problem, I expect I am right though
TMO didn't see a probelm, neither did ref, so not sure why there an argument.Besides all else I not convinced he lost it forward, looked straight down to me .
Jesus Dan, in a loaded field this might be your worst take ever.
Lost it forward cold in to an opposition player. It's stone cold not a try and I can't wait for the official explanation.Sack up Razor and kick off on the press. Rassie got banned for a year but it worked, thr Boks are cheating fluffybunnies kissed on the dick by officials.
It won them a world cup and now a RC

My mate lived in SA for a year, went to tests at Loftus, Ellis Park, he's also been to Twickenham. Said Ellis Park is next level intimidating, he found it similar in intensity to an EPL match. So must be hugely testing for the players, especially those who have never played there before

Wow, you say some shit Dan, but that might top it. He lost it forward and he fell short. The pictures don't lie in this case

My actual point is mate, what we read in papers is all that counts. We can say it no try until we blue in the face, but if the ref says it is (he may of made a mistake,)but it still a try. My point is if the ref says it a try it is officially etc, and we can't or won't change it.. I can't say the ref's word counts when the decisions go in our favour and then moan when they don't.I said the same when living in Aus and Phil Kearns and co were on tv saying ABs shouldn't of won 2011 WC final, ref gave it to us etc etc.
The number of times I have heard/read it from losing supporters is just ridiculous. -

The number of times I have heard/read it from losing supporters is just ridiculous.I won't smooth over that particular decision sorry. However, our loss of control of the collision area and lack of accuracy of our territorial kicking game opened the door for what happened in the final 15 minutes. Not saying the ref didn't make mistakes (lots of them) during that time, but they got momentum and then the ref started to favour them. But if we had executed better on kicks and defence we should have won

Even if it was, he's on the ground so he can't recover it and place it - that's a penalty to ABs.
I agree, but did he recover it or just fall on it? I really don't know..It's on 50 seconds on this video.
Make it clear, my AB eyes saw it as lost forward, but my both eyes open say maybe if ABs got it I would be saying that's not forward!!

@Dan54 I think it's worthy of a discussion given that TMOs can actually now intervene even after the conversion has been taken.
At the very least it would have been nice to hear the ref say something like "the try has been reviewed and cleared".

this. After the RWC where everything got looked at by the TMO, to go to a situation where a try doesn't ... it's just bizarre.
I saw the word 'inexplicable' used by the Grauniad on this, and I kind of agree. It was deeply weird.

Watching now because I got home a bit munted after the John I Dent final.
Ethan "both sides of the ball" Blackadder couldn't pass to an umarked winger five metres out.
DMac decides to hand back possession from inside our 22 with a useless chip kick to nobody.
Blind ref penalises Ardie one metre from our line for "no clear release" when there's a clear as fuck release which should've been a penalty for holding on.
Blind Irish TMO can't see Mbonambe clearly lose possession over the line.
Cross kick to Clarke and a turnover penalty because South Africans are allowed to place their hands on the ground first.
Cane puts a hard shoulder on South African Black Jesus who coughs up the ball in contact.
Beautiful run by Rieko down the blindside from a scrum, draw and pass to put Jordan into space. Ethan too slow to get there to clean out.
Outstanding attack from turnover ball. DMac and then Lomax dummy to beat rushing defenders and put Clarke in.
Blind clown awards South Africa a scrum penalty despite the tighthead clearly on his knees.
Turnover because "both sides of the ball" can't get there in time to clean out the defender. Has there been a slower loose forward?
And that's the first half. Score should be 3 - 12
Agree with a lot of what you say - but your Blackadder hatred does run deep.....
Ethan was one of my top 3 players today (as have a # of other Ferners going by the MOTM thread)..... cos as you say -- the work on both sides of the ball...
In answer to your slower loose fwds - not trolling... but Frizzel and Ioane were not speed merchants either.... and sure as shit didn't put the consistent work in that Blackadder is showing so far...
You're confusing activity with achievement. Blackadder is energetic, not effective.
no I am not confused, you are only watching Blackadder with with one eye...
Point me to one of the following:
- A covering tackle.
- A dominant tackle.
- An effective cleanout.
- A dominant carry.
Editor notes: consider bold-ing each adjective.

(rugby is a way better sport with chaos).
Had this EXACT thought at some point in the game. First half... can't remember the context exactly. Seattle: legali
szed cannabis. Anyway - it was some fucking fun rugby to watch for a few minutes.
