@OomPB Bench probably the main area for variation. And injury concerns.

Even in an Olympic year, there is no fixture in the sporting calendar that makes my hairs on the back of neck stand on end as much as the All Blacks taking on the Old Foe.

    Pumped already.

Reckon we've a decent chance of stealing one. 99.99% chance of losing the other.

If you could offer me a win loss in the republic I'd take that right now

I think this is how its probably going to go.

In a couple weeks we will face our biggest test since the World Cup final in 2023 and what will be by far Razor's biggest challenge since taking over the reins a couple months ago.

How's everyone's confidence going over to South Africa? Scott Barrett comes back into the fold, but it looks like we won't have Tuipolotu, Jacobsen and De Groot. Who are the replacements? Does Sotutu finally get an opponrtunity to join the squad, or will Lakai get an opportunity. Numia is probably the favourite to replace De Groot after getting through a whole game for Wellington today, and Walker-Leawere spent a week in camp last week so he might get the call up (if they decide to take five locks).

I'm feeling pretty good about our chances but I guess we won't know how good we really are until we face up to the force of the Boks on home turf.

They dont have Wayne Barnes and Tom Foley this time.

    Oh no.......Carley.

    This lad is absolutely crap.

He reffed in the Twickenham pre World Cup debacle where he basically walked onto the field with his arm out stretched playing the Boks advantage.

Springboks: Comprehensive injury update ahead of title defining All Blacks Tests

Springboks: Comprehensive injury update ahead of title defining All Blacks Tests

The Springboks will be without Faf de Klerk amongst other Rugby World Cup winners for the two home Tests against New Zealand in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

If EDG can’t travel then ABs need another LH. Bower might be the safe option. If Jacobson a no go, then Akira makes most sense.

    @Jet
    Worst game I've been to.
TBF we couldn't compete in the scrums that day. It's very difficult to win under those circumstances.

If we can contain PSDT then we may be a chance

At least Razor knows how to win big games in the Republic

AB's are paying $3.75 on Sportsbet here in Oz - I don't think I have seen odds like that in my lifetime.

I doubt the prop that goes over there will play so I'd like to get Numia into the environment. Firstly, because he played the house down all year, was one of the best scrummaging props in Super and is arguably NZ's most versatile props around the park. Selecting Bower is just another safe option that won't get the ABs anywhere IMO.

Even the Cantab punters had Numia as 100% in the squad before he was injured in the quarter final.

Did you see the teamsheet in the second test? That was Bokke seconds, not the Bokke

I think that's overstating it when you look beyond the starters. Fassi is better than le Roux, Kolbe, Kriel, Am, Mappuppetimpi, PSdT all started and then look at the minutes some of the bench got:
    Malcolm Marx
    Ox Nche
    Eben Etzebeth
    Kwagga Smith

Admittedly their halfback wasn't great, but then again the midget isn't stellar.

I reckon we are a real chance only if Razor does the right thing and selects:

Williams, Taylor, Newell, Scooter, Darry, Blackadder, Token, Token, Hotham, Token, Reece, Havili, Token, Jordan, Jordie

    I’m back
