@Smuts Frans looked more uncomfortable than I’ve seen for a long time, which surprised me. I also expect that Kitshoff must be close to a Bomb Squad recall.

Seems they ranked all the refs through the RWC and Brace was dead last.

Wouldn't be able to keep rows or straight lines though...

Ryan was asked if he was happy with the refs performance.

"It was a big test for Andrew Brace, Im sure he learned a few things, as did we".

Slightly less subtle than the usual euphemisms we get.

Whenever you see a coach (in this case Razor) say "discipline let us down", or mention "ref's interpretations", just read " that fluffybunny with the whistle didn't have a fucking clue".

Sadly they aren't allowed to say that, so I will.

One of my biggest bugbears in Rugby these days.

    "Discipline let us down"

Translation: The refs perceptions/ interpretation of our discipline let us down. Video evidence shows our discipline was actually fine.

"we have to be cleverer with the pictures we are showing the ref"

Translation "we have to over exaggerate our clear releases etc, because this gobshite cant be trusted to officiate fairly".

100%. I said this earlier. Are we getting shafted by the refs? Hell yeah. It's bleedin' f@cking obvious. Some of the RC and YC we cop are beyond ridiculous. But we need to be wiser to this. If we keep doing the same old shit, we'll continue to cop the same shitty calls. Take one step back on defence. Don't attempt to jackle, numbers to the ball and drive over. Tackle lower etc.

The ball bounces on the ground which indicates clear seperation. He is in the act of scoring a try so yes he is travelling forward.

    No try

There is also no evidence the ball was grounded on or over the line.

So even if it wasn’t ruled a knock on because of some law, the fact remains that the ball was on the ground, the Bok player had been tackled and lying on the ground he still played the ball. Rugby is a game played on your feet….
