Perofeta are injured, Plummer won’t travel,

It's one or the other. Pick one.

    David Havili

Would you look at that - Harry Plummer has been named in the squad for South Africa.

    ...as an outside back!

I really don't understand why they continue to select Havili only to continue to keep him in civvies on match day

He should start writing a book because he has better access than anyone in the press

@MiketheSnow He won seven Super Titles under Razor so it's safe to say he really likes him.

    @Duluth

Great to see Harry Plummer there.

I'd have gone for AJ Lam in the midfield ahead of David Havili.

It's a shame there is no room for Hoskins Sotutu in the backrow.

No arguments above the rest of the squad.

Except he's shit against Tier 1 teams. His level is not high quality Tests.

Springboks in 2022 were Tier 2?

    😀

Ofa Tu'ungafasi, Token, Token, Patrick Tuipulotu (c), Sam Darry, Akira Ioane, Dalton Papali'i, Hoskins Sotutu, Token, Harry Plummer, Caleb Clarke, AJ Lam, Rieko Ioane, Mark Tele'a, Stephen Perofeta

sounds better and I've got some great names for the bench!

You might need a few more tokens because Tuipulotu, Perofeta are injured, Plummer won’t travel, Lam is not an AB, and Ioane and Sotutu never heard of them and neither has Razor.

Looking extremely light on, which is probably for the best.

You mentioned one who is returning from injury and 2 who are always injured and more tokens than I did and you claimed a blues player. So back at you and your light brigade.

They are all available for selection

I'm not sure about Patrick, Scott might play but with injury -bandaged finger - DH's mighty frame up against the Boks? Shudder. And EB isn't called Niggles for nothing.

All Blacks switch focus to the Springboks

All Blacks switch focus to the Springboks

After their 42-10 turnaround win over Argentina in the Lipovitan-D Rugby Championship Test in Auckland on Saturday, the All Blacks quickly turned their thoughts to the next job: two Tests against the Springboks in South Africa.

As to Razor not knowing Akira

    Getty Images

Given it's Wednesday evening the status of Paddy, Grooter and LJ will be known.

NZR+, when do you get off your smoko?

Paddy and Perofeta injured, Plummer (the tradie that allegedly does not travel) is CALLED INTO THE SQUAD!
    Go Blues!

yeh I think that is wording only, dont really see him and Perofeta as like for like even though both play 10...

Paddy and Stevie were crocked and Lord and Plummer were already back up.

Never wish harm on a player, but it would have been delicious to see how The Ray Band would have coped with Jacobson being unfit!

He's a token All Black. A rubber stopper for a door gap but not a very big one.

A 12 with an accurate cross kick is gold against the Boks’ fishhook defending.

I assume he was their last choice wing in the original squad but was only keeping Jordan's space warm.

Hmm, not sure “gold” is the right word for that limited skill set. It’s not like we can’t cross kick from 10, and sometimes it’s kinda nice to be able to run straight and hard at 12 to keep them guessing.

Can't DMac and BB do that? (Edit: maybe JB can or can't, I can't remember this from him).

@nostrildamus they can, but think it works best off 12. Sure Jordie could crack it with a little practice.

What a beauty this one was. I love the crushed look on Willie Le Roux's face after Bridge scores. Perfection.
