I wonder if we are missing mental skills guru Gilbert Enoka more than we realised we would.
Yes, we were physically overpowered but we froze at the end too. Execution of basic, controlled skills went to shit. Something really not right.
Yeah there's a top 2 inches missing, looking at a situation where a Crotty or obviously fucking McCaw would have pulled it together, calmed it down, and done whatever it took to win.
Rather than whatever it was Ardie did tonight.

Aumua took a great time to throw so badly
No one jumped though. Just piss poor all around. Horrible game overall by the ABs.
Why are people blaming Aumua for a lineout where he had no targets? The whole thing was a debacle and speaks volumes about the coaching and selecting.
Fucking abysmal. At least Fozzie got us to a RWC final.
Because he didn’t throw one straight since he came on.
No. One. Jumped.
What every line out
Too difficult to grasp we're talking about the last lineout?
All 4 Amua fucked up by not throwing straight not just the last one.
Bahaha it wasn’t all Aumua’s fault. How does no one even jumping land on his shoulders. You’re just trying to deflect blame from poor coaching. Taylor was the shit throwing hooker in the two tests in England and we were lucky to get out of those tests without atleast one loss. Razor has a lot of work to do. The honeymoon is over.

Barely a player came out of that game looking good, there was no organisation. That is a fault of the coaching staff for poor selection and poor team preparation
Carry has added a bit of depth at lock

Yeah I've been beating the JB drum for a long time but he hasn't looked right. That backline you've suggested I don't think would have done worse.
-
Fuck that was poor.
Just finished watching.
By fuck we did some dumb shit.
If there was an option to make a mistake we fucking took it.
We're obviously capable of playing better rugby than them, and did for most of the game. But you can't just give them points .
Did they score any without us fucking up?
Didn't Surf Jesus's teams have a rep about not making mistakes.
Even Fozzie's team didn't fuck up that badly.
Seriously we're 30 points better than them.
But fucking scoreboard dickheads. You can’t let them stay close through stupid fucking errors like that.
Fuck

For all the talk of Cantab bias, Ardie Savea and TJP were right up there for most experienced and shittest performance. Jordie not far behind either. And Aumua.
Too many canes, at their home ground?Let’s just ignore all the other shit performances of the night then.

Side to side offload city
Nailed
The only way we were ever going to win this was to take it up the middle, which at times we did quite well. -
Well done Argies. Kept scoreboard pressure on us all night.
Our discipline in the second half was extremely poor. Poor discipline to give away penalties. Poor discipline to keep our shape defensively.
Very disappointing.

He looked great at 12 when he started, either he is out of form, the tactics don't suit him, or the opposition have worked him out and he is too limited to get out of the rut. I don't know what it is either. Still prefer him at 12 to DH.

@Darth-Sader he failed to select the players most responsible for the Blues' winning power game. The game most translatable to test level
I thought Sotutu was very unlucky not to be given an opportunity, and you could argue Ioane should had another shot too. But as good as Tuipulotu as been this year, realistically he’s a 60 min journeyman at best. That aside, the gulf between Super and test rugby is now massive, and as others have pointed out, it doesn’t prepare our players to step up. Honestly, I had hoped for a lot more positivity in how we played this year. We have limited top quality players, so we’ll need to develop them. Look how many kiwi cast-offs are playing for Ireland… it’s doable.

That was a systemic failure. From the top down

Yes Pats is great at Super level but off the bench or a half playing for the ABs at most. I think Darry was the better option to pick at lock and I've been saying that since the Super final.
Just hope Scott Barrett gets back into form.
Some of us get excited when Vaa'i looks committed and hardworking but he's not Etzebeth even at the best of times. -

Really not getting the McKenzie love here. Thought his game pretty such summed up the overall, especially of the backline!
He has all the skills. He just needs to learn/be coached how to use them.

First coaching change for next time

Yup. Respect test rugby and respect the opposition

So when can you fly down and take over as head coach?
