No resistance from Blackadder in defence for that first try.
The article said EB played well for 20 minutes without injury. He can last 20 minutes now! Hallelujah!
"For starters, Ethan Blackadder was impressive during his 20 minutes, highlighted by a couple of steals and a thumping hit on Blues pivot Harry Plummer, and he got through unscathed." -

Damn and Darry Damn.
That’s a massive blow. All teams are definitely taking some hits before the season has even begun.
-
@nzzp The immediate concern is that none of the full squad Locks played last week so may also be injured at present. I guess that means Tristyn Cook steps up to the main squad for Darry. At least it is a position that the depth proved more than capable last season. Both McWhanell and Beehre did well when called on then. Cam Christie and Cook are full of promise and will get chances now to show it. Young Jack Lee and Hallam- Eames are also there if needed. Suafoa can also be used at Lock but with only 6 loosies selected he will be needed there most games. We need PT to stay fit.

sort of linked to george's post
how many games of rugby did Darry play last year
And when did he come back to training? -
Darry played 11 matches for the Blues last year and started 9 of them
-
i mean in total. he played a few tests. Any NPC?
Where i am going is, are some of these fringe guys not playing enough rugby to harden their bodies? Then they come late to training, get in to it, and bang, popped shoulder.
-
6 Tests and 2 NPC
He didn't play against the European sides. So 19 matches and a decent off season (last match in late Oct)
Solid workload given he had injuries and it was his first year of Test rugby
-
Darry could find himself on the outside looking in for the ABs
He wasn't chosen in the initial squad and whilst he played well at times for the ABs he also got surpassed for a bench spot with Patty T's return. Fabians Holland will be poised to break into the ABs this year too.
On the other hand Razor doesn't select on Super form so not playing Super might help him.....
