Well that added some spice to the AB team announcement. Guaranteed bitchfest on the TSF coming soon.

It's a little funny how much the Crusaders live rent-free in the heads of Blues fans on here...

Are the Chiefs fans not drunk enough to descend into the depths of last year's feral waaaah-fest yet?

It's a little funny how much the Blues live rent-free in the heads of Crusaders fans on here given in the original post the Crusaders were NOT mentioned...

There's going to be some outstanding players who miss out, especially in the loosies.

I liked this from the Blues social media earlier in the week:

‘This one’s for the 2010’s, for Kaino & Piutau. For McAllister & Woodcock & Faumuina. For Braid, Luatua, Ranger & Saili. For Haiu & Mika & Tamoaieta and so, so many more‘

    🍻

Kudos to Akira Ioane for finishing on a high. I’ve been a big doubter of his over the years and admit that I didn’t think he had the ruthlessness for the big stage. Well he showed that and some tonight, unfortunately he’s leaving because he should be an AB this year. Bloody shame.

Best thing this year was how the coaches have built depth by developing unheralded players. Renata, Funaki, Lam, Forbes etc.

@Duluth A young Tony Woodcock was on the bench in 2003.

Jerome Kano must be the best NZ player of the professional era to never win a Super title.

Do Collins, Nonu, Smith and Cullen count?

AJ LAM, what a stat line.

Made more tackles than any other Blues back, no turnovers, no penalties,

12 runs, 67 metres (both behind Clarke) and 7 (yes, 7!) defenders beaten.

It’s now showing as 8 defenders beaten. That’s a crazy number for a midfielder

Sotutu ended up carrying the ball 15 times for 36 metres, passing it on 13 occasions and finishing with 100 per cent tackle completion as well.

Let's just hope that we don't have a repeat of some of the comments against the ref that we saw last time. Some of the stuff from the Chiefs fans last year was pretty rabid.

I ended up with a bunch of it in my inbox. All forgiven and forgotten now but stay off the sauce this time lads.

Chiefs ought to be on the trophy for last year. TMO diddled them.

This was definitely the right game to get a bonus point win over the Chiefs. 😉
