@nzzp ten an over is gettable if we have proper batsmen in.

Windies showing that spin can prosper on this pitch, though. We fucked that up!

Southee might be good for two balls.

    Just one today for Timmy!

Managing to run out of overs chasing 150 is quite the achievement.

Has been quite a low scoring tournament

150 was an excellent score on this pitch. Those last 2 overs from Santner and Mitchell really cost us any chance of winning.

Santner takes 19 off the last over to cancel out his earlier shit over - but, it's too little too late.

These tournaments are about getting Tier 2 nations exposure to the higher levels, so in that regard it's worked...

37 runs off our last 2 overs and we lose by 13. What a mess.

Batting like you haven't played cricket in a decade or two was a bold strategy that probably wasn't likely to pay off.

    Pretty pathetic.

Ironically Cory Anderson seems set to progress further in this tournament playing for the USA instead of the black caps.

Looked up when we last missed the semis at a world cup - was 2014. Pretty good run. Worth noting that we're not even going to make the super 8 stage here, which makes this our worst performance since, well, ever. Since tournaments got bigger to have either a second group stage or quarter finals we've always progressed.

On the bright side, this is one kit that can be retired and become a collector's item.

I suspect the effort bringing that uniform back was the most NZ cricket put into this world cup

i sort of missed this was even a thing. how the fuck do you have a "world cup" 19 months after the last one. Why does anyone give a shit about this? International T20 can die in a fucking fire. Franchise cricket TV filler format.
