@Duluth The rain changed that game. We were cruising until it came bucketing down towards the end of the first half, and then Brumbies ball took over by playing to the air, and the rolling maul.
What's the weather looking like for the weekend?

@gt12 The same as that game, terrible apparently.

Argh.
Suits the Brumbies surely - wet is a leveller. Eden Park has great drainage though... but will hit the walkup crowdOn the positive side it makes it harder for Toole to do something freakish with his pace. Also keeps Cale narrower.. he was bossed around in the round robin match but is dangerous in the wide channels

Agree, but I think it takes away some of the Blues advantages. Winner will be the team that shows up focussed and physical. That brings the Brumbies right into it - the wider channels will be less able to break open the game.
That said, the rain should be done in the next few hours, and EP dries really fast. Could still hvae a great surface to play on!

Loose forward Akira Ioane passed a fitness test at Thursday’s captain’s run after a calf injury scare and will start at blindside flanker.

Next lot is coming, just hitting Whangarei now. That rain is rotating clockwise and pushing South. Never use that timeline for rain, it's useless
