Fijian Drua vs Hurricanes

Canes looking like the real deal in this competition. Are they the 2024 version of the 2023 Chiefs?
-
Beautiful from Delany. Man he's playing well.
-
@mikey07 I thought it was good that he made it clear to Shields that the two stand alone offences did not alter the overall penalty pressure and re-put the Hurricanes on a warning. Foul play and a professional foul treated separately seems fair?

Yeah, fair and can't complain. I don't really agree with yellows for repeated infringements but if they are given, it was deserved today.

Has playing in the NH done wonders for Shields? Who was coaching him?

@Runt Then what’s the point in carding us for ill discipline then if the card doesn’t release the pressure.
It was for a pro foul and a high tackle. Nothing to do with how many other penalties we had conceded.

Ultimate kiss of death as he got yellow carded straight after!

Canes going for another try at 81 minutes...
...and get it

Hurricanes MOTM poll here - https://www.forum.thesilverfern.com/topic/6634/hurricanes-motm-vs-drua/3
I went Shields, Proctor and Flanders as my picks.
Aumua a massive worry now for the Canes, hopefully it's not serious.

Well done to the Canes. No win is an easy win in Fiji but they played it perfectly and whilst under siege for large periods of the match.
They'll be hard to stop this year.
