England to whitewash Australia
-

It also might be to do with players making themselves available if they feel they're going to be looked after.

Has Eddie had much of a say over the welfare of his national squad as it relates to club time? Like running particular camps to take time out of club rugby etc.
-

Fair to say we got the rub of the green, but we do seem to have reduced the number of dumb penalties given away especially by the likes of Cole and Haskell...

I think this is the main reason we did get most of the 50/50 calls. Previously we were back to back world champs at stupid penalties but now we seem to have rectified this to a huge degree. If you're not giving away the daft ones you stand a better chance of winning the 50/50 calls IMO.
-

Which is a really underrated quality these days, IMO.

It goes to rugby intelligence - we laud guys who know when to go in for the pilfer, but it's equally important to know when not to, or know how to do it in a way that doesn't give away a penalty.

Pocock is good at this, Fardy is quite poor. And England have been incredible, the best I have ever seen.
-

Pocock wasn't so smart in the first, he made some really dumb decisions at the breakdown, uncharacteristic ones.

Aus have been outsmarted and and outmuscled, a bad combination, and not what we expect from the Aussies.

I do expect them to win this week, but then I've expected them to win every week, so don't stick the house on it.
-

Barbarian, was that you speaking on the GAGR + Egg Chasers podcast? I think one of you mentioned that Australia had a very antagonistic relationship with the referee and that might have influenced the lack of penalties going the Wallaby's way.
-

Fuck, then its YOUR fault! Bloody Queenslanders cursing our shit.

Get ready for the whitewash everyone!

England are $1.95 at the TAB, Wallabies $1.85. Line is +1.5
-

well, blaming me certainly makes a change from the average aussie fan blaming the wingers (or any player not from their Super side)
-

how could I, facebook won't let me.

Yeah that's me.

That was a well made point (wasn't me). Again reflects badly on Moore. He was getting into the niggle, encouraging it, and we were screaming at the ref all game. So it's not surprising that England got the 50/50s.
-

The selecting in this series is fucked. What the fuck is with the 2nd row? Kuridrani untouchable? Sio in and out? A new winger on the bench?

-

he must feel very secure in his job. the Wallaby public don't see it that way.

I don't think anyone in the land of the Wallaby public has been happy since Macqueen took a bunch of ragtag misfits and won a shitload of silverware and crystal goblets.
-

short memories and limited recent success mean if it works out, and he grabs one of the big trophies later in the year, this whole tour will be forgotten about. It's a risk, because if it goes tits up, then the whole year will be viewed as a disaster.
