HBT write-up. About the venue:
Originally the Hurricanes final was scheduled for Palmerston North but Bird said there is a chance it could be played in Hawke's Bay. The venue is expected to be confirmed on Monday.

All Hawke’s Bay Hurricanes Final Napier Boys’ High to play Hastings Boys’ High in the the Hurricanes final after both teams beat their Wellington opposition with identical scores 31-14. The final was to be played in Palmerston North but with both teams from Hawke’s Bay it has been negotiated to play this here in the Bay. Thanks to Hawke’s Bay Rugby and Napier City Council we have been given the go ahead to play this on McLean Park this Saturday kick off at 12.00pm.

Napier looking the stronger team, but not able to convert opportunities into points due to a good Hastings defence.
Both Hastings tries were against the run of play, but they're grabbing their chances and that's how they've earned their lead.
