Q) Who in their right mind turns down a SR contract with the Crusaders?
A) Lincoln McClutchie.
Not the kind of solid decision making the ABs need at 10
-
@canefan i dont think there has been much suggestion he should be playing for the AB's has there? thought it started just as surprise the leading points scorer in the NPC didn't get a super gig...which i dont think is out of line
As i said, the Highlanders have gone for a 30 year old who will go back to the NH rather than someone who actually played 10 outside fakatava for example
-
Who knows, maybe McClutchie was the coke snorting Shield dismantler so all the clubs saw that as a white flag…. I mean red flag.
-
@Kiwiwomble That's all true. And that last part gets overlooked or forgotten.
-
@Canes4life That or he was (a) the guy who posted or supplied the image that was posted on social media* or (b) the fall guy for the immediately exonerated Fakatava "Hey, we don't know what happened and we're yet to start our investigation, but HE had NOTHING to do with it. We KNOW that." or (c) he's the guy who dropped the shield on the concrete floor and now coaches think he has bad hands
-
Also can't figure out what Brett Cameron offers that he doesn't. Apart from elderliness.

Doesn't that suggest something migggght be wrong with the suggestion that he is being wronged?
He has a relationship with Fakatava but the Landers don't seem to want him. Why?
He has been in the environment of two NZ Super sides, yet neither have signed him. One of those was the Landers while Fakatava was there.
He recently played super rugby for MP and couldn't establish himself as the starting 10.
He appears to have turned down the Crusaders.

@Dan54 you didn't say you got it from an "article" you said it as though you knew and it was the truth. When it wasn't, it was just a guess...by someone else.
Well I guess that's where we all get our info from, including you saying it wrong huh??
Except you didn't say, hey here's a dodgy article that might have some info. You outright stated it as fact... and it wasn't.

not arguing with that, thought that might be one of the directions the thread would go
