I feel Razor is going to try and convince NZR to bring in the equivalent of the Giteau law.
And Robinson and NZR have said no. If they backtrack, I hope that the high profile ABs who are staying in NZ ask for an immediate release from their NZR contract so they can sign a more lucrative off-shore contract and still be eligible for the ABs.
I agree, it has to be a hard no on a form of Gitaeu rule for NZ

Yep, both the Cantabs.
And keeping an eye out through Super Rugby.
If we discover a proper 6/lock, something interesting to see might be Kirifi on the bench.
define interesting

It was clearly to make Richie Mounga eligible because of needing a good 10. Hopefully there is a big focus this year at Super level at developing a replacement or two.
Maybe Razor should have focused his interest on convincing Mo to stay.
A change in policy based on one player is the worst type of policy.

It’s worth looking into when David Havilii is mentioned as a potential replacement

Even heard talk of Jordie having a go at 10, not sure if it is a joke. He does have a powerful boot, he would need to improve the accuracy of his clearances and exits, not to mention ball distribution. I don't profess to be an expert, he is a strong dude and wouldn't get shoved around. Dan wasn't small either.

Yeah Robertson talked about how he was going to lobby for a change, then Robinson shut down that talk in a subsequent press release
I think it's pretty dumb to dismiss ideas out of hand like that. Should be open to new ideas and experiences from other countries.
Plus ca change

@Victor-Meldrew I obviously never saw him play but the reports about his play would suggest I would have loved to see him play...even as a tiny man compared to today's game

You'd have to ask @nepia, but I'd imagine a bit like a shorter and skinnier DMac.

@Victor-Meldrew @Nepia @taniwharugby I remember in the mid 1990s when Christian Cullen first burst on the Rugby scene my Grandad and his mates agreed over a beer that he was the sharpest runner with the ball in hand they had seen since Bert Cooke which I think gives an idea of how good BC was.
