to some extent cricket
i don't trust hawkeye
No, neither. But I trust hotspot, snicko and side cameras to adjudicate on runouts.

i hate footy again.
Lol at St Kilda
Collingwood are back
Carlton impressive in running over the Giants
Fuck Brisbane, fuck our spud talls. Fuck our inability to change styles when required. We're going to nowhere this season.
West Coast smashing Freo is hilarious. Suddenly there is hope at the Eagles
Sydney got themselves back on track, and the GC suffered a set back
And the West Coast result makes North's smashing look even worse. North might be fucked forever, because i imagine there will be compromised drafts for Tassie coming up, and North are absolute shit with no hopeEssendon and the Dogs are in the 8 at the moment, but i expect both to fall out, the other 6 ca start thinking about September.
St Kilda, West Coast, Adelaide, Richmond, Hawthorn, North Melbourne are already looking towards next year after 6 games.
The only reason Brisbane aren't joining that list is, We've played Carlton, Freo, Collingwood, Melbourne and Geelong already, we must be due the soft part of the draw. But we're only a week or two from writing everything off for the year. Terrible fucking season of terrible fucking performances. -

I feel Norths are trying to steal our draft picks

I'd celebrate, but it's only North Melbourne.
-
the hawks might be rubbish but that was pretty ruthless from the swannies...basically coasting the final quarter
-
At this stage the flag winner will come from Geelong, either of the Sydney teams, and maybe Carlton or Melbourne. No one else has the game to beat these 5 teams.
Everyone else is seriously flawed and making up the numbers -
i know there have been grand finals with two interstate teams (Sydney v West Coast)...but it would be interesting if there was two sydney teams that made the final
-
Oh i can hear the cries about academies and compromised drafts already
-
when its really a sign the draft works, sydney were 15th and 16th in 2019 and 2020....GWS 15th in 2022...so have used their draft picks well
-
I don't think there's the same level of negative feeling about GWS that there was in 2019.
Their bulk draft picks have come and gone (to other clubs, in many cases) and this team has ridden out a very brief down cycle and emerged better. They've recruited smartly with guys like Jesse Hogan and developed later round picks like Tom Green.
I recall before the GF in 2019 there was plenty of talk about a hollow win if they got up, but I can't imagine any of that would be replicated this year. They are seen as gritty underdogs now.
-
this comp is even weirder than the NRL
This weekend Carlton, Geelong and GWS lost. Port also lost but i didn't see them as a contender.
Of the "maybe we can sneak the 8" crew the Suns and the Bulldogs had embarrassing lossesEssendon currently sit in the falsest 5th you've ever seen, they have had the softest draw to start you could possibly imagine.
-
the Bloods keep marching on!
....as i keep falling down the tipping table....
-
Apparently Sydney are the only team that wants to be good.
Geelong lost at home to the going nowhere Port
GWS lost to the going nowhere Bombers
Melbourne gave to big a start to Carlton and couldn't run them down
Brisbane and Adelaide sort of fucked each others seasons by drawing. The bottom of the table is awful, and yet somehow St Kilda lost to Hawthorn.
Looking at the 8 now, i can't see any other team forcing their way in
