So
Men's player Ardie or Eben (whomever wins the final). Should be Ardie on his performances all year around, Dupont didn't get the chance to shine in rwc, aki choked in the end
Women's, I don't watch enough
7s Leroy
Coach will, again, be whomever wins cup. Should be Fiji
Noob will be Telea, as libbok dropped -

Women's
It's women's 7s only. IIRC the XVs nominees will be announced after the WXV (in November).

Good point, now I've looked at the nominations. Blyde by fucking miles.
We win the RWC, should be a black out

I would have no issues with Aki getting it despite the QF exit. He was Ireland's best player on the pitch.
Not seen enough 7's to comment on them. Agree with Fiji coach and for breakthrough I'd probably go Telea. I don't think Williams has done enough, Libbok has been dropped. The French kid is awesome, but I just don't think he's played enough vs the big teams. He is a real potential superstar in the making though, which I'm not sure can be said for the others.

Dupont
Farrell

They love that shitThis year? I disagree. He's a great player, but he's nothing like the best player on the planet at the moment. Best 9 is even arguable. I don't think he got the better of Murray in the 6N or Smith in this world cup.
He came back to lead his team to .... getting knocked out.
I think he's being nominated on past merits.
Best French player this year, by a mile, has been Penaud. He should have been nominated.

Don't disagree about Penaud
Could also have been Ramos or AldrittBut with France out, World Rugby needs to award France an accolade for hosting a magnificent RWC
This is how they will do it

@MiketheSnow if he wins, you’ll have to be correct!

Respectfully, Mike, this is the biggest pile of shit I've seen on here in awhile. The accolade that French rugby will get is the millions of Euros in their coffers, which they will be able to spend making sure that they're more successful on the pitch next time.
PS Aaron Smith has been the best halfback in the world this year, and deserved to be nominated in his own right.

Arguably JGP has been the best halfback, for being integral to Ireland winning 17 on the bounce
