@game_film ok so who is the best player in the world?
Whilst I know you're getting shit answers I'll try and be serious ...
... if I could take one guy from the other teams ... After long and considered err consideration...
... Etsebeth.
And that's even with our talent at lock. Not sure who I would drop though.

@booboo we should probably all get together over drinks and canapés and decide this in 2 weeks, no?
Fair.
But right here, right now?

Parsons at 16.13. Smith hand on ground, which BOK didn't see. Correct decision penalty France:
So we have endless replays for non-scoring events, but TMO can't tell ref he made a clear mistake? With ten to play in RWC quarter!
France only had themselves to blame for not taking that, but completely sympathise with ADP's view of reffing.

@pakman 26:22 - SA using "rolling subs". Can coaches call for an HIA via their team doctor?
World Rugby need to cut comms between team doctors and coaches. It needs to be an independent assessment so that the integrity of the sport is not compromised. Team doctors are not there tactically!
Bok coaches are not doing anything illegal, but I can't imagine this "clever thinking" will be allowed to stand post this world cup.

@pakman 2023...2007 revenge of the Kiwis
(joking if there are any French fans lurking)
NZ had a similar video in 2007 in the QF against France. I didn't hear any French players, coaches and supporters complaining about the rub of the green.
Regarding the transgressions in the video, I did agree with a fair number of them, especially the Boks sealing antics at the breakdown which I think will get them in bother on another day. I thought Etzebeth's knock back was borderline, but I thought that he was lucky to get yellow for the head contact.

have to say, i noticed most of them during the game, not just when they're slowed down. Wonder what BOK's review was like after the game, if some of that ruck work and leading with forearms was highlighted to him then i'd expect him to be stricter on both teams on Saturday. Doesn't bode well for Tuilagi...

So many misses at the breakdown from BOK to be fair
At critical times in excellent field position

@MiketheSnow Now do one focusing solely on the French. Given the possession/territory stats, I'd wager there were fewer incidents, but I bet there were some.
Big calls were:
-
Etzebeth knock down - debatable. If forward, penalty try and yellow card
-
Etzebeth head contact - BOK did his part, the bunker decided it wasn't a red
The Boks gave the French a taste of their lazy rolling, ruck flopping medicine. I'm not feeling much sympathy for them given how often they get away with it themselves

this is exactly the point i've made elsewhere. The winners very rarely bother...

Oh absolutely
I'm sure there are plenty

@MiketheSnow BOK gave the French plenty of chances to play. He gave them some of the rub of the green too. As he did the Boks. He didn't knock the ball on or drop the expected barrage of high kicks, last time i checked.
If France had caught the ball twice and the prop had not tried to flick the ball that was bobbling on the ground (dive on it!), SA would not have had the chance to score the first 3 of their tries. Unfortunately for them, they did and they SA were good enough to capitalise.
Ireland said NZ sucker punched them with their 3rd try on Saturday from first phase. The first 3 SA tries were a trio of sucker punches lovingly gift wrapped by the French through high ball ineptitude. I mean, they must have known the kicks were going to come, no?

Oh I know
We gifted Argentina the match so know how that goes
France, like Ireland, didn’t know how to chase the game
Been a while since they had to
