RWC Week 5: Ireland v Scotland
-
2 great National anthems...
Hope I haven't built this game up too much in my head.A chance for Ireland to throw the gauntlet down ahead of the pointy end of the comp... OR..... does a plucky Scotland pull one out of the bag?
-
Scotish defender taken out to create the gap....
-
@Mattasaurus just far enough away it isn't seen as an issue...

I hate how they use players in front of the ball too, but WR doesn't seem to care and hasn't for 5 or so years.
-
@Mattasaurus just something else they do really well pushing the law
-
Who's the Irish Captain?
-
-
Ireland already in the refs ear - thats another thing they do annoyingly well... they literally talk to them all game

I don't really understand not taking the easy 3 points there.
They need 4 tries and win to go.
Still scoreboard pressure is a thing too... but that does make sense

@Damo guess they know.they have to.score.tries...but winning 1st is more important
If they just win without 4 tries and Ireland get 1 BP they are out. So 4 trys is the first goal I would imagine.

Not true.
If Scotland win by 8 points without a BP then they and Ireland are both on 14 points. SA go through on 15 and then Scotland go through having beaten Ireland.
Winning and denying Ireland any BP is enough.

Lots of penalties so far
