@MN5 1,000 miles off topic here, but I was watching footage of Lenny McLean in old unlicensed boxing matches in a Frank Warren doco last week. Goodness me, he was almost as hard as Ethan Blackadder.

    And almost as big

    More questions than answers

    Some tough ones too

NZ could fall into the same trap Scotland and England have fallen into, primarily the side is more balanced and more dangerous without their RWC captain

    Well spotted Mike.
I agree, thought we missed Ardie's control last night, not sure they will start Cane from the bench though. I'm just not convinced by our loose forward balance, it's much better with Frizz but the starting 7 is still a conundrum.

Firstly Uruguay. Unlike Italy who were hopeless and uninterested, Uruguay gave it their all but were just outclassed.

NZ were great in all facets. If we had Hansen or Henry in charge I’d be confident but you never know which side will turn up under foster. We don’t be ¼ final easy beats though. Roigard is the most promising 9 since, well, Aaron Smith.

I can't see it either, but that may be his and NZ's undoing

Whilst our results have been up and down, we tend to play better or more cohesively with both Scooter and Ardie in our starting lineup.

He's not the only one, cane had 7 votes for this match here, and I have no idea why.

I sort of feel as if many are forgetting how badly Damien MacKenzie shat the bed last time he played a quality opposition.

Like, he didn't just shit the bed, he then pissed the bed, and then chundered before jizzing , snotting, and bleeding into the bed.

That was the worst game I can remember from an All Black back.

We are all used to the Cantab hate here on the fern, but the some of you who are suggesting DmAc replaces Mo'unga are deranged.

I feel something stirring within. A spark of confidence for the QF. Bench will be key and I think Foster will go for CR, DMac and LF (why else would he put Leicester at 12, for the first time in his life yesterday?)

We’re not going to win a tight match with ALB coming on to change things.

I think the discussion is more about DMac replacing Beauden at 15.

What the fuck does DMac get up to after hours ? I’m quite disturbed reading this and not sure I want a guy like this representing the All Blacks.

For all that Jacobson got a hard time - I thought he was a bit poor with two turnovers and one penalty conceded - he was also the leading metre maker in the forwards (42) with the second most carries (11), 10 passes (highest in forwards), and a try assist. He had one clean break (equal first for forwards), beat one defender, and had two offloads (equal highest in the team). He made 8 tackles and missed none. Not a bad night's work.

So maybe I just look for the highlights, and note the mistakes ...

    Suppose that's why I'm not a professional coach ....

Precious Richie is not threatened so don't worry about a Cantab' losing their place.

George Bridge says hold his beer, while he tries not to catch the ball.
