RWC Week 3: Springboks v Ireland

I think there is plenty to take from that for the ABs, in particular discipline and when you kick, you chase, even if the kick isn't accurate a good chase still adds pressure.
Those 2 things would help us immeasurably.
-
Yep, which is a nice change from some other referring performances in this WC.

@Smuts You’re right about the pressure, Boks couldn’t handle it tonight. What you’d expect from an inexperienced kicker and replacement level hooker in a situation they’re not built for.
I enjoy games when the result isn’t determined by one team choking, just a good contest all round.
Mate depends how you saw and watch games, I love the game and look at positives whenever I watch, and one team may appear to choke etc, but sometimes the other team is doing the choking of them.

Yeah 100% agree

Considering we have been right up there for years with most penalties, and Ireland the least, I am not holding much hope for improved discipline. We give 3 to 5 times more away than they do

@Machpants that's the dry powder

Was a strange match to watch for me.
I can’t recall a time that I switched teams I least disliked throughout an 80 minutes.
At one point I was saying how resilient the Irish defence was and then when I see them run NFL like attacking plays, my reaction to them changed to, I hope they get roasted.
Then when the Boks were having all kinds of forward dominance both at the breakdown and at set piece, it was great to watch. But when I saw them squander front foot ball after front foot ball, my reaction was they don’t deserve to win this or any match.

any injuries?

I somehow know who you mean...

The Kiwi Irish are stars in green.
Why have we struggled?Because Ireland thought strategically.
We've conned ourselves into thinking we always have the best players and best systems and would always be ahead of the curve.
Is that fans? Because if it is, it has absolutely zero bearing on how the actual players perform.

Yeah Beauden just needs more games at 15.... that will solve it.....

Given that Foster has more or less refused to make any changes not forced on him, I find this an incredible statement.
The team we named against France had one greenhorn, and he was on the wing.
That's been one of our biggest issues -- players remain in the starting team regardless.

Congratulations to Ireland. Not the worlds number one team for nothing. They really kept us out. Missed kicks don’t tell the story. Two of those were long range we should have gone for touch imo. Just to get down into the 22. Absolutely brutal collisions all match. Looked like an amazing match to be at and I thought reffing was good. Obviously I don’t agree with every call made😂 But I really thought he was in control of the match. Going to be a lot of sore bodies today on both teams.

This is the reason I think SA will win the whole thing.

Yeah it seems a bit hard for some to admit that other countries have better players than NZ at the moment

Razor is literally going to have to lead a revolution to get us back to the top
