RWC Week 1: France v All Blacks
-
There was no dry powder.
This team has nothing.
I think a few old heads need to be culled and he has to roll the dice.
Id launch Beaudy, Mo'unga, Vaai, ALB,Nepo, Christie for a start.
Give me DMAC. Move Jordan to 15. Roigard has to be in.
And get Finau or Blackadder in the squad immediately.

Absolutely smacked
France won thr kicking
France won the set piece
France won the contactABs made errors. ABs gave away penalties. ABs decision makers were terrible.
We're fucking cooked. Send us home -
A shit second half is a given these days for the ABs.

ugh, that was a rough watch in the second half. France deserved the win.
France didn't anything other than kick deep. All they needed to do. Our braindead team and tactics tried to run/short kick from our 22. Phucked up and France pinned us back down again. They didn't play until deep into the 2nd half. All the territory was from long kicks.

I wonder if we can lose to Italy and not get out of the pool.

Two people who need much greater criticism: Schmidt and Ryan.
They continue to select for and play this game.
But it's not the forwards putting up contestables from our 22 then having to defend when they lose the ball. It's going to work against Italy etc and then Foster will come out and say, "told ya it works."
Its the same game they played against SA and humped.

20-0 second half.
Wow, well done France.Forwards went OK, except for scrums, lineouts, ruck work and defence.
Backs were alright except for tackling, kicking and contesting the bombs.ON the bright side, there's plenty of opportunity to go upf rom here
Seriously, though, key moment at the ned of the first half. 9-8 and instead of applyng pressure to tired forwards, we try for a hero play. It's the mindset in this team - no patience. SF is a win for us, QF exit is likely.

Discipline will go a long way to winning the RWC, we don't have it, French discipline and patience was excellent
2 weeks ago it was the forwards, today it was the backs.
Same old failings since 2017.
-
Queue the over-reactions. We didn't expect to win, we have tons of injuries, no depth on the bench etc. Things didn't quite flow for us, some 50/50 moments certainly, not really sure it was a 14 point game but alas. We won't fucking lose to Italy, we'll blow them away. Chances are we take on Ireland in the QFs, which probably suits us more.

Another 1st.
Problem is, we'll annihilate the other two, get ahead of Italy on points doff and then get smoked against our own farts in the QF.

@gt12 I am more critical of the tactics than personell...we were fucking dumb.

I don't know mate. Lose, but lose like you know what you are doing.
That was clueless from selection table to performance.
