All Blacks vs Springboks - Twickenham
-
@game_film Or the World Championship 200 metres.
-
This is killing our RWC. We haven’t lost. We have been utterly destroyed. Will be a miracle if we turn this around.
-
Not sure that you can even count this as a friendly. More of a shambles.
-
Dryest powder for the RWC
-
I can't watch any more of this shit. It's just ridiculous.

It would have happened vs France in game 1 if not for this.
-
Worst AB forward display since the last 20 against England last year. Except this time it's been for the whole game.
-
There seemed to be a hand under the ball. Was it really grounded?
-
This is a revenge game for the Boks. They clearly wanted it more after Mt Smart.
-
@Billy-Tell this is 1st test 2022 in Mbombela all over again.
-
Zero out of ten performance. Got to question the on-field leadership.
-
28-0 with 20 minutes to go , this could reach 40 +

I have to give credit to the Boks, their exits are excellent, scrum and lineout good, defensive pressure excellent. Kind of the fundamentals for test match rugby.
That’s the key word
TEST
The All Blacks have spent the last eight years developing into the masters of the flat track bully, while other Rugby nations have been honing the key skills of TEST rugby.
-
I hope this is just rope a dope. Look this bad to fool all the other teams in the WC we are this bad so they won't go so hard on us. Absolute fucking joke.

The hypocrisy of the foul play rules is staggering, you can put a shoulder into the head which upgraded to a red card , but a swinging arm to the head only constitutes a YC
What? Shoulder charge (never a tackle) versus wrapping arm hitting a person who's falling. Really need to change you attitude/knowledge, cos this is rugby. You've didn't the entire match complaint about the ref, when it's clearly the abs being back to foster's team style
-
so far not sure this is the statement game the score says it is
-
Being rusty in the 1st half is understandable but this is now really worrying. We are being destroyed.
-
Good catch from Mo'unga again.
-
Instead of MOM voting we might need worst three and give it the Barrett’s.

We learned nothing from that humiliation I fear.

Good to see Roigard have a snipe. We need another dimension.

Bring back Plums?
-
Roigard has already made a difference. Unlucky there with the snipe.
-
Roigard 'tackled' high
-
I hope they have a plumber in camp as this will block the toilet when they flush.
-
@sparky Which is presumably why they are the second ranked test team in the world
-
Thank goodness that Foster and co picked five wings for the World Cup.

Nah. But there's clearly more work for Ryan to do.

The Welsh performance last weekend starting to not look so bad

Watching the NPC last night where the ref did his best stay out of the game, versus this, its a different game.
People keep saying this - so please tell us which calls he shouldn't have made today?
I think you're being deliberately obtuse.
Rugby is a sport where you can find a penalty at every ruck. Refs can do this, and you can then ask the question 'which call shouldn't have been made today'? What I want to see from refs is consistency, particularly around materiality. What shits supporters is the appearance of different standards during the game, or between teams.
3 penalties then a card 35 m out suggests a tightly whistled game; ignoring ball killing by SA late in the half will then have people asking whether that's consistent.
There is a lot of subjectivity, and there's a lot of pearl clutching on here, but the quality of the refereeing and the law interpretations aren't great. It's very hard to ref this game well, and the best refs generally let non-material things flow. As someone said, it's refs looking like they don't want attention, vs being at the centre of it.
This ref feels like a penalty for every ruck, and a card for most players. It's technically 'not wrong' but you'd struggle to say it's good. I've been frustrated with the framework and application of laws for a while, particularly around the inconsistencies from week to week.
Anyhoo, good physical but limited work from the Bokke. Well played, we've been defending really well, and playing some stupid stupid footy.
Thank you for writing this.
To cheer on this ref performance is completely disingenuous.
and to bitch and moan cos our team is losing and blaming the refs "style" is >>>>>????
-
@His-Bobness They won’t be after this game…….
-
I'm running out of swear words
-
Telea is the only positive.
-
If I was Ireland I would be nervous, Boks and Scotland have some form.

NZ have been shite, but they are chasing the game now. The ref was not as "busy" when black had the ball as he was when green had the ball. That's all people are saying.
Be pedantic. But be pedantic for both sides.
