In Auckland CBD pub, some big beer bellied guys in abs shirts are downing 750nl bottles of lion red. They won't remember the game🤣
That could be a great Fern thread. What’s the most pissed you have been for an All Blacks game but still remembered every piece of play lucidly?

Pretty much every test I watched from the mid 90s to the end of the 2000s

My only concern for tonight is that the Fern collective appear pretty happy with the team named, which probably means they've got it completely wrong given our track record of incorrect analysis etc etc
Several banana skins on this on. Three in a row against big teams, Wobblies due a win and hurting and a bit of over-confidence poss. setting in.
I'd be happy with a win on this one, no matter how scrappy.
In London for a wedding so watching could be patchy...on the other hand that might mean The Curse of the Meldrews is less likely to strike...

You got to love tuning into pre game coverage of the Bled and then have to listen to Te Nana, Wilson and Kirwan for an hour. Ffs. Surely Sky Sport can do better.
Mils is definitely the best on that team.
-
@KiwiMurph would be massive for Aus rugby if they won tonight.
-
@Canes4life Nah, Wilson is the only one worth listening to. KT and JK are dumb and dumber.

is 750-nil the predicted score?

I actually think Eddie will get more out of this than Foster and co: the ABs still don't know how they compare to France and Ireland (and possibly the new England) but Australia will be very interested to see where the weaknesses and potential is on such a new scratch old scratch hybrid team- for example, I haven't seen Will Skelton for ages, is he still the new fit and trim version?
-
I reckon Eddie thinks he's got a fighting chance if he has at least two league converts in the starting side.
-
@booboo I reckon Carter Gordon could be a bit of a cult hero for this Aussie side moving forward. He’s obviously young but he looks quality and he has a bit of Larkham about him. The unknown factor could be Aussies strength tonight but it could also bite them in the arse. I feel Eddie’s flipping the coin and I don’t even think he knows how things will go.
-
I'm hoping the GOAT has been at the captain's run again

@booboo Interesting interview just now by Drew Mitchell with Eddie Jones, who seemed less lippy than normal and said something about how this game was a chance to spin the wheel and check out some younger players ahead of the World Cup.
