    Saturday 8 July
    8:00 PM (NZT)
    Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium, Tokyo

I am assuming that this team does get named on a Thursday.

The interest will be in who starts in the loose forward trio and the midfield/outside backs. Maybe the intention is to give all players a game across both games with the strongest XV playing Japan.

Regardless of who is named, I lookimg forward the game. I kind of hope it is the perhaps lesser players, as I interested to see what the depth looks like.

I’m pretty worried about health and safety for this game - its going to be over 30 degrees and hopefully raining (sunshine would make it 35 plus I imagine).

NZRU could always arrange live stream on YouTube for international fans?

@pakman I think you'd have to look at the JRFU for that, not NZR, as the game is played in Japan, not NZ.

that comes across a little prickly mate, it wasn't a crazy suggestion, didn't NZ rugby arrange a live stream for one of the games in the states

I would rather Fakatava was starting - he needs the minutes more than Weber.

It says a bit about the state of locks in NZ looking at that 23 - really need Lord to stay fit going forward and convert his promise.

@Kiwiwomble Only allowed 23 players on the team? šŸ™‚

No - haven't seen any injury lists. In theory everyone should be fit, so I'm thinking maybe these guys will get to start vs Japan.

Will be an interesting gauge of how the selectors rank everyone.

Average looking lineup tbh. Last year's XV was much stronger.
