Springboks v Wallabies

@G-Man I agree on Reinach. Thought that was one of his better bok games. Focused on quick service and delivered lots of space to his backline as a result. Course it’s easier when you get the armchair ride his pack gave him.
First time I’ve ever wanted him to snipe more than he did. But that balance should come with a few more games in the saddle and yesterday’s restraint should buy him more space in future.

The Aussies are a side that will look complete crap one week then be dogs whisker from winning the Bledisloe. I'm not writing them off.

But they'll still be a whisker from winning it. That's the point.
That's why they're being written off.
That's why TVs are turning off.
That's why recruitment is fucked.
That's why the game here is dying. -
It's crazy. Union in Aus had the perfect storm of going pro at pretty much the same time league had gutted itself with super league. You felt that, hey, this is the private school game. They have all the best experts and minds. These guys are the smart ones right? This is a legit international game. League is fucked. Add the all conquering Wallabies of the late 90s early 2000s and hugely successful world cup and you felt that the game would continue to fly. But they done gone and fucked it up. Those apparent state school bogan retards from league have eaten union's lunch and are stronger than ever. It's hilarious how the code run by the so-called best and brightest is in the gutter. Actually it's tragic but you can't help but laugh.

Not only that at one stage the entire back three of the Wallabies was made up of said Bogans who saw Union as a shining light. I thought Dell, Matty and Lote would start an absolute deluge of loigue players switching to the “better” code.

No. They just took the cash, then returned to league and bagged out union. How incredibly unpredictable.

I get that people love Koriobete's energy, but he is going to cost his side big time. In this game he got away with two high tackles, diving on a player (with head contact) and a couple questionable wraps. He's a walking red card unless he changes his approach.
You can take the man out of league but you can’t take the league out of the man…
The concern is that he’s been doing it for several years now and has yet to improve.
There’s a decent 23 for Australia but getting the right combinations and mix ready in time for the RWC whilst hanging on to the stalwarts (ie Hooper) will be a massive challenge for Eddie. He’s been on the end of hidings before as a coach and still found a way to be competitive when it mattered.

@NTA nice. But we have Fozzie.
You have an end in sight for that.
And, despite your development systems starting to feel the same pain ours did, you've at least got enough talent at the top end to stay bouyant. For now.

Australia has so much depth a Wallaby lock was playing first grade on the weekend (Vikings vs Owls). In some fairly fucking average weather too.

@NTA you don't think Foz could kill NZ rugby by November?
Huuussshhh... Foz isn't involved in this game. Go troll in the correct threads.

I recall reading in the early '00's that Union was the fastest growing sport among the young in Oz.
Pretty spectacular to screw that up.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It boggles the mind. IMHO expanding the number of super teams was a huge mistake. Definitely something to consider in the future but was the wrong thing to do at that time. Should have reinforced the game in the strongholds first.
