    @Chris Have you seen Dallas McLeod play centre?

    I'd be quite interested to pair him with Dave Havili in the midfield.

    Yes he played there for Canterbury at times, I prefer him at 2nd five but those two and Amua will all get game time together.

    I do like Amuas power game.

    @Chris-B

    Franks is at Toulose I think.
    Not sure if it’s long term or short term.

    @Chris He had an RWC cover contract. All RWC cover contracts have now ended (there was a mandatory end-date). So he'll only stay at Toulouse if they are able to offer him another contract. For example, they could offer him an injury replacement contract if there's a long-term injury at prop.

    Thanks for that, he maybe the experienced prop the Crusaders are looking for.

    Franks is not kept by Toulouse. Laulala is their pick.

    @Chris I would go with McLeod at 12 and Aumua at 13, Havili can be on the bench.

    @cgrant Is he our mostly likely replacement for Yager? Is Dominic Bird also likely to comeback?

    Yes, it would be great as Seb Calder is just a journeyman at NPC level. Franks could bring his experience to the likes of Newell and Williams.

    @cgrant

    I think it's a bit too early to say that. He's a 21 year old prop. He could be anything

    Yeah I agree he is only 21 young for a prop he is 121 kg not a bad size for a prop.
    Let’s see if he develops any further before writing him off.

    Frank's presence at the Canes coincided with the rise of Lomax...

    I hear you. But to be perfectly honest if another team can't win the title this year that says more about the state of the other teams than it does the Crusaders. It's a golden chance for other teams this year to win it.

    Lomax was already on that path at the Landers. Canes set him back..

    Very good signing and quite surprising as I thought he had gone to Japan. We have definitely brought in some experience for next season with Crotty and Mataele coming in. Have a feeling Rob Penney seems like an interim coach, more than a long term replacement. We will wait and see, I always felt the most likely replacement for Razor was Goodman.
