Punivai looking to collect all the kits?
-
My god these are some average signings.
We are starting to look like an NPC team.
Just goes to show there is no quality depth in NZ rugby anymore.
-
@Canes4life Punivai? I knew Judd and O’Reilly would get back in the team, was kinda hoping Vijoen would get the 3rd HB spot. Though I’m glad regarding Naholo if this years anything to go by.

You have a squad of 40 there, only 38 players are officially in the squads.

Yeah I think so

@Canes4life said in Hurricanes 2024:
@frugby I argue that we are strong up front, shit through the middle and strong out the back. Assuming we are talking about the forwards.
The backs are a bit hit and miss tbh.
The Canes tight five outside of the starting front row looks diabolical to me. Good batch of loosies, but lacking a superstar (Could yet be Flanders or Lakai) in the absence of Savea. The starting backline should be a good one, but very little depth. The squad is so imbalanced, cracking midfield, but you wonder whether they would have been better served chucking the bag at a top quality lock.

@frugby I feel like this is a trend across all our Super sides. The lack of depth is massively worrying and continues to get worse every year with competing comps draining our talent pool.
There are no signings that will entice extra bums on seats, that’s for sure.
