what does "Raw boned" mean?
All bone and muscle. Think Todd Blackadder, John Jeffrey etc.
He comes across as a young Stirling Mortlock to me.

No boiling water or watercress available.
-
i guess i could/did infer the meaning from context....just seemed a bit random
-
I think we can all agree Liam Coombes-Fabling isn't 101kg and that is his problem.

You haven't heard that phrase before?
-
@SouthernMann *one of his problems
i think you can be small and good, even if we dont go to any AB's, at least Finn Hurley has made age grade teams....so im at least willing to see what he can do
Nareki has proven he punches well above his weight class
@bones not that i remembered i assume the Etymology is because cooked bones are soft?
-
Although I have a sneaky feeling the LCF rumour is probably true. We currently have three wingers. Peobably need another who can play fullback. He fits the bill. Midfield will be the interesting recruitment point.
-
i swear i might just give up if he is the kind of player we're going for this early in the process, another 15...that wants to play 10...but is needed on the wing...perfect
-
It is almost like he is the perfect replacement as a like for like with Vili Koroi
-
@SouthernMann someone we name in the squad....and then almost never play...to the extent we even bring in injury cover ahead of them...awesome
-
@Kiwiwomble kids these days!

Nailed it. He is a 15, 10 and winger though. Haha
-
@Kiwiwomble I wouldn't flinch at Retallick being described as raw-boned.
-
to be clear, not saying it wasn't a saying, just i didn;t remember hearing it before
-
@Kiwiwomble yeah yeah. Stop trying to make us feel old
-
It was used to describe pretty much every white farmer loosie type back in the day wasn't it?
@Kiwiwomble I know you live in Oz, were you also raised in Oz? How did you make it this far without hearing it?
