@KiwiMurph noticeable that Akira was a bit niggly again, perhaps a little bit of frustration working out when he's not starting regularly? Best bit was when he earned the penalty with the tackle off the ball and just got up and ran back to the ruck. Perfect.
It looked like Akira was close to having a go but managed to hold himself back.
Hah yeah that's why I liked it, he started to grab him and then you could just see him make the better decision, got up and turned his back.

Tucker very good too. Who wrote that the Blues LO would struggle with Robinson and Tucker as starting locks ?
I think people are more worried about next week vs Crusaders.
I did like how the Blues mixed up their lineout targets though - they have a lot of options with that loose forward trio

Yeah I think Tucker and Robinson were locks in the final where Whitelock dismantled our lineout?
We fixed the issue at hooker, I’d start Suafoa to get his bulk for 60mins.

This is the first time they have played together this year, aside from a few minutes in the opening round.

@Bones Yes. A comedy font for a comedy post.
That is genuinely quite funny.

@taniwharugby Yeah Luke Romano gave them all the Blues lineout calls.....

I actually think Big Red's best position is at lock. I like the tight, nuisance game he brings. He made an absolute mess of the tahs ball in the contact areas, and stole a number of LOs. Was it Ofa and Nepo that literally threw him up like a beacon at one stage to pinch a tahs LO before the tahs even had time to react.
He and Akira were into everything that was wearing white/light blue that moved. Big Red will be a big loss for the Blues next season.
Shame Choat wasnt fit, would have liked to have seen him in that mix. My preferred loose trio would be Choat, Paps and Akira with Hoskins running them ragged off the bench.
Nepo had his best game in blue, destructive in the carry and in the scrums, Ofa too was strong, and Telea must have a grease bath before games, no-one can hold him, really making a statement. Prefer AJ on the wing to CC, as above, think he offers more in the way of skillset and always looks to be involved. RR has been good for the Blues, solid and dependable performs his core roles well. Should be a cracker next week. -

Some nice analysis of Schmidt's influence on attack.
I could only read part of it as I'm not signed up, but it contains the usual bullshit from supposed rugby journalists.
Will it stop Levi Aumua and Miracle Fai’ilagi jumping away from Samoa, and into the All Blacks?
Aumua is a NZer and Fai'lagi isn't eligible for NZ.
