Choat is such a strong defender, often the Blues go-to man when they need to lift their efforts on D
He has great energy, players like him lift those around him.

Shit was that an aggressive tackle from Choat without going flying in out of control or staying back on his heels? I thought there was only the two extremes.
Because the player he smashed was high rather than diving. Great effort trying to pretend they're analogous.
Ignoring the point again, you do you bud. Let me know when you've decided which out of the two extremes he was doing. Because like you said, you can only fly in or be back on your heels right?

I guess you think you have a point if you imagine a different take on what actually happened. Choat, like Ofa,, was coming forward to tackle a player. Both aimed low. The difference is HJH dived to ground, while Botha stayed upright.

π The difference is Ofa came flying in out of control, to the extent that he went soaring over the player he was trying to tackle. I'm the one being called a delusional soccer mum, because apparently you have to be a dick name caller instead of discussing, yet you think Ofa and Choat approached their tackles in the same way. Yeah good one.

Zarn is such a good fullback. Low error rate, huge boot and picks great lines. Obviously heβs useful coming into first receiver too.
I think his game is more suited to Test rugby than some of the other fullback options who seem more like wingers at the higher level

You're making the classical error of determining fault from the outcome and imagining events rather than what actually happened. "flying in out of control" from a prop after three steps out of the defensive line , when in the last step the attacker dives to ground.
But you do you bud.

@antipodean ok cool so he was completely in control, and only 3 steps from woah to go! Can't wait to see that new found acceleration put to good use in attack, he's going to be devastating.

It's instructive how much you need to rely on straw man and misrepresentation to feel you have a point. I'll leave you to it.

No don't go, there's way more names you could call me.

Am watching on delay.
Am liking Zarn muchly

@KiwiMurph I wonder if he could be a solution in the future at 10 for the All Blacks. He has a powerful boot and looks composed under pressure. I am no expert like some of the other posters, I do feel confident when he is in a pressure situation, he can use his powerful boot to get us out of trouble.

He really hasn't played much 10 but does jump into first receiver a fair bit when he plays at fullback.
Would like to see him play 10 in the NPC.
I thought his game for the NZ Maori was one of the best games by any NZ fullback last year
I'd prefer not to have him play 10 in the NPC this year. I would like to see him in the AB squad as a fullback. He's good enough now, maybe he becomes a ten later, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's a long term AB fullback

@Duluth He could play multiple roles. Can remember a few years ago hearing him compared to Dan Carter, while that is a big comparison and big shoes to fill, he isn't all hype. His brother plays centre, is that another position he can potentially cover?

He is one of those natural looking players that can probably do well in a number of positions. His only limitation would be pace. While he is no Goodhue, he isn't quick.
