For New Zealand Rugby, the awkward ramifications of signing off that team would involve telling All Blacks assistants Scott McLeod (defence) and Greg Feek (scrum) they will soon be on the outer as part of a widespread cleanout
Awkward ramifications? Must have been such an huge surprise to them all...hope none of them read that article.
Weird take by NZH

If that's the coaching lineup I hope there's a non coaching selector.. a similar role to Fox had recently
Robertson will obviously be a selector. MacDonald probably will and he has a good knowledge of the Blues region now. I would like to see a selector from the Chiefs or Hurricanes region to provide more first hand knowledge of players from those areas

Could be a good role for Wayne Smith? As I think the travel is his biggest issue.

I wanted someone else like Taimati Ellison to coach the defense, Scott Hansen is a great inside backs coach, he's had middling success as a defense coach, pretty sure when he was Mauger's defense coach at Leicester Tigers they set records for points conceded.
Or Razor could coach defense as he did for Crusaders in 2017 and when he was assistant for Canterbury.

From that article:
While unlikely, given it may rob the Crusaders of three coaches and expand the All Blacks coaching team to six, whispers on the rugby vine continue to promote Tamati Ellison’s credentials, with suggestions Robertson could, potentially, view him as an ideal skills coach.

How many assistant coaches does Robertson want? If that NZH article is correct, MacDonald is sort of redundant when you also have Holland in charge of the attack.
That is why I don't think the article is totally accurate.

4 assistant coaches is the norm, at Crusaders Razor has a forwards coach, defense & an attack + back/skills coach (an attacking strategy coach & another back coach focusing on individual skill development) this is a pretty typical coaching structure.
Chiefs Blues Landers have 5 assistant coaches by the way.

Not talking about the numbers of coaching staff
Maybe the roles are not correct and there is another coach involved in another role. -

There is nothing unusual about the details in that article.
It's the exact same group Robertson put forward last year Lol.
Things change

I'm curious to ask, how would Hurricanes fans feel about Holland leaving if they won the title this year?

That's pretty much the same as foster and RWC, it's not going to happen.

They'll be too busy celebrating the masterstroke of having locks too small to tackle by opposition forwards to notice the coach leaving.

Really? I think this Saturday's match might be a preview of the final.

Yeah, nah. Canes have played the bottom half of the ladder so far. It'll be an easy victory for the chiefs

Mate if he feels it time to leave, I have no probs either way. I not anti Holland anyway, seems to be a pretty good coach to me.
