Jeez what a game. Well played Blues.
Indeed, some ABs not showing themselves as great. But some edge cases really showing their worth

Great call to go for the scrum, dumb call for Lakai to run it. The Blues had all their defenders ready for it. If we shifted, I think we would have scored.
Imo needed to go left?...

How was Laulala not penalised for that late hit on Kirifi? Actually watching him he’s a massive grub the amount of off the ball carry on on Canes players.
Anyway it was not to be how that Moorby try was awarded is beyond me, I was quite proud how the Canes came back so many Canes teams in the past would’ve just rolled over.

What was up with the Wellington crowd booing every time a call went against them ..?personally i thought the Canes for the most part got the run of the green , especially with the Moorby try and the lift tackle .
Biggest concern is the form of BB ..Papalii and Sotutu especially were superb ., also thought Tucker was excellent off the bench -
Last call for a scrum was not a good one. Blues defense in situations like this is very good. Much better than the Canes
Cameron looked good. Will never set the world on fire but does the basics well. Jordie. Unsure about him at 2nd. Too early too tell yet though Roigard is good. Booth is a step down but can also be a match winner
Lakai had a good game.

Is that the one where he dropped the ball...

@taniwharugby really surprised by the lack impact at scrumtime off the bench from Laulala and Hodgeman ..

Yet. But maybe he recovered the ball (or made contact again) before it hit the grass. But it also looked like a double movement and was short. But the TMO should have a better picture and more angles than me

@Steven-Harris I'm not. Laulala has been on a downward trend for a while now. How he continues to be selected is beyond me. Hodgman still coming back from covid?

A toss-up between Booth and Eklund as the worst sub.
Eklund’s form has nose dived. Not just the lineout, he was much more effective in general play last year
Amazingly Riccitelli is playing ok. I didn’t think I would ever say that

Spoiler alert ...
...just logged on to Stan and first thing us they tell me the Sader's result.
Thanks Kirsty

I thought Sotutu and Lakai were the best players on the park for each respective team. They were both very strong defensively and showed plenty of firepower when they had ball in hand.
When the hell are we going to start picking Aumua in the starting jersey. He's changed the game every time he's come on this year, he really needs to be playing more than 50 mins per game.
Worst player for me tonight was Isaia Walker-Leawere, some really dumb involvements from him.
