After a couple of days, i am finally over it
As we all saw, just an awesome GF. Both teams hard at it, lots of scoring, every time one team looked to be on top the other side would slam on 2 goals straight away.
I thought the real difference was through the midfield. The little touches just weren't going to hand for Brisbane, they would brush a finger tip, bounce to a Collingwood player, and then they were so clean to move the ball back to dangerous areas.
A lot made of the number of behinds, but the Brisbane defense forced Collingwood in to tough shots. Andrews and Coleman had huge games.
Brisbane up front created less, but better, shots. Bailey was huge. Even Joe Daniher had a day out. Charlie kicked 3. But when we needed to win a clearance, and get the ball forward, our midfield got beat. Lachie Neale didn't do enough. Berry was appalling.
There are a couple of guys on the list that might get moved, Berry being one, Hipwood another (if anyone wants his contract...)
For the Pies, Hill was unreal, what a game. De Goey was class. Mihocek was good. They were good all over the park. When we hit the front with 4 to go i was hopefull more than confident because Collingwood had come back all day. This time it took a few seconds.
Great end to a great season

Collingwood are probably still on the piss and yet trade period is in full swing
The Swans are active. They tried to get Aaron Naughton from the Dogs, which tricked them in to offering him a huge contract. They are expcted to land Brody Grundy. And now rumours they are a good chance of getting Collingwood VC Taylor Adams.
The other big story is that Clayton Oliver could be gettable from Melbourne. That's huge news and teams at the pointy end will throw a lot at him.
In Lions news we kept Dev Robertson after West Coast threw a contract at him. And Crows defender Tom Doedee has nominated us as his intended trade destination.

@mariner4life i have been invited to at least 3 swans trade group chats, some decent names loating about, the war chest built on Buddys salary might be quite the size

Not 10 minutes after i posted that i read that Oliver is going nowhere

The problem with free agency is the overrating of draft picks.
Collingwood, reigning premiers, have just picked up a best 22 player from Freo, who kinda suck. And all it cost them was pick 34 and a future 2nd rounder. Astoundingly Freo supporters are happy. The draft is a fucking lottery, building through the draft is incredibly hard to do. So the teams at the top stay there by getting players from shit teams.
Yes, eventually you have to pay the piper. But only if you keep club favourites past the point you should.
