@booboo dodgy maths aside, a 24 team tournament where 16 then go on to make the "play offs"?
get. entirely. fucked.
why does rugby hate itself?
this is where football has it sorted, everyone has to qualify (except host and current champion i think)...so you grow your sport with the big teams having to play the smaller ones during qualifying...your tier 2 and a couple of wide cards will make the cup proper...but play off are all going to be tough heavy weight matches...really exciting

Pickerall unable to be developed, no feel for the game what so ever.
My question is: did he play?
Old question I know, but given that poor old Taniwha copped his first reffing outing at about age 12 (and presumably he had some warm ups), I'd say no he didn't get past Rippa

Disagree on cutting the RWC to 16.
Rugby isn't football. Different game turnarounds, different culture, different depth.
What is needed though is something similar to 7s where ranking contests continue after getting knocked out of the race to the top. Plate, Bowl etc
Those games could be spread through the week to keep eyes on the screens in the latter stages. I reckon you'd get some good match ups.
The 'minnows' usually only get one game they have a chance of winning with no 'prize'. Let's see them go into their own comp. The prize being some decent world ranking points and chance to move up the ladder. That flows through to better games, better ratings, better sponsorship for those teams to improve. -

@Bones Seemingly intent on playing for New Zealand...
Strange, I thought I'd looked him up earlier in the year and seen he'd recently played for Fiji, but I can't see anything of the sort now.
He'd definitely be able to replicate the kind of world cup NMS had...

Los Teros jersey for the RWC. The home jersey will likely be used just once ( v the All Blacks) to avoid colour clash.

@Daffy-Jaffy yeah I can see how that shade of blue might clash with our silver jerseys.

Oh no that would be really horrible for such a gracious and humble character.
On the downside, if he does miss the RWC, we'll miss some classic anti-Sexton jibes...

While the maximum punishment for such an offense could extend up to five years, it is believed to be improbable in this case.
Five years would be hilarious.

@Billy-Tell fuck imagine the meltdown. Stringer would finally take off.

Lots of presumably Irish people on FB trying to downplay his actions and blame Peyper for being shit. But you know you have overstepped when they are saying he was nowhere near as bad as Rassie
It doesn't really matter who the player is or if the Ref is shit. Players & coaches who carry on like this need a good kicking. I'd have some sympathy if Sexton had apologised - heat of the moment and all that - but if he has, I've missed it.
