Colour me surprised, you think a Hawkes Bay player should be starting. PRS is average. Numia had his number in the NPC twice this year. Mafileo is clearly the best of the three, if you don’t think so you clearly haven’t been watching close enough.

@Canes4life LoL. Pot, kettle, black

Didn’t realise Mafileo was from Wellington?

@Canes4life Mate, you do it all over the Fern, not just in this thread. And you brought Numia up, who didn't even mark PR-S in the NPC, as they both play LH. Or haven't you noticed yet that LHs stand opposite THs in the scrum?

Just watched this morning without knowing the result ,Who is the canes attack coach ? Some of the ball in hand stuff they do looks great.
Bleyendaal was appointed backs/skills coach for 2021 season, they didn't have 4th coach in 2020 as Spencer was cut, Holland is still heavily involved with the attack despite being head coach, there's a reason Razor wants him as his attack coach for 2024.

Hahah that is rich coming from you. The guy who has to mention a Hawkes Bay player on almost every thread.
Numia was the better tight-head in the NPC, and stood out more when Wellington bt Hawkes Bay twice, but I still wouldn’t have him ahead of Mafileo who is clearly the best tighthead at the Canes. Take your Hawkes Bay eyepatch off and actually watch Mafileo, did you not notice how impactful he was coming off the bench last week? You’re comparing him to a guy that can’t even make the 23, it’s quite hilarious. But I guess someone has to back the battlers from the Bay. Good on you.

The fact that you don't know the difference between a LH and a TH prop says it all.

patchy game but very entertaining, glad we won. IMO jordies best for us at full back and would like to see Higgins more. Proctor has been our glue. Morgan remains erratic, would like to see Bret Cameron at 10. The bus should be used as impact or subbed at half time. Rayasi still dangerous
We need some height bird or sangster back soon as. IWL was impressive good shift. Numia too, coming back on. IMO he's out best loosehead, scrummed very well and ads more around the field then PRS and Mafileo who also could've easily been YC for dangerous neck roll prior to the clean out 🤷🏽♂️ Frank's struggled when he came on but no one noticed that coz he's a 100 test all black. Didn't see much of Iose
Ardie still our man. Still our leader
Anyway my take on the game like and subscribe 🤪

Of course I know the difference, I’m not saying they lined each other up specifically, I’m saying Numia was the standout prop on both of those occasions when the Magpies fell apart last year.
Mafileo is our best tight-head, end of story. Just please take that patch off your eyes for one second and you might actually agree with me instead of providing no substance to your argument what so ever.

@Canes4life Maybe you should take both your blinders off. You're putting words in my mouth. You're the one just assuming what I mean. All I said was that PR-S was the regular starting LH, last season. The rest is just you making stuff up.

What blinders? Mafileo isn’t from Wellington?
Lol don’t give me that, these stupid memes you keep posting clearly show what you’re thinking. PRS might have started more games last year but Mafileo is our best tight-head right now off the back of a very strong NPC for BOP. He’s more suited to Super and International level footy compared to smaller props like Numia and PRS.

Still don't know the difference between LH and TH, do you? If Mafileo is our best TH, then he's competing with Lomax and Franks, not PR-S.

It does happen eventually but in the case of Alex Fidow it took only about six years. The North Harbour staff, somehow were similarly blindsided but it took them less than a season to realise their mistake.

Yeah we really needed a bigger body at 6. I don’t know what else Delany has to do to get a start. Blackwell is just so god damn limiting. IWL was excellent and I hope that form continues.
Pending on suspensions to Mafileo and Ardie, I would start this pack against the Blues next week: Mafileo, Aumua, Lomax, Bird, IWL, Delany, Lakai, Savea.

@Stargazer here comes @Higgins to fight your battles. This is hilarious.
It’s good to see McClutchie setting the house on fire after all these years of you blokes talking him up. Oh wait…

It is testy among Canes fans. The new Canes halfback played well. Future looks bright.

Despite all the BS chat on here, I agree, Roigard was the best on the park in that first spell. His box kicking is the best I’ve seen from a NZ halfback for some time, the height on some of those kicks was outstanding. The boy from Counties has a very bright future ahead of him.

Moorby was solid enough but you'd have to think Love comes in at 15 when he is fit - if Love can carry on his form from the second half of last year he'd add a real point of difference.
Would you shift Moorby to the wing?
A back three of Rayasi, Moorby and Love would be pretty sweet. Savea off the bench for impact. However I feel like Holland wouldn’t drop Savea from the right wing position.
