Rebels v Hurricanes

Nice bit of off-ball violence - watching that made me feel young again.
-
@MajorRage obviously not watching the same game watch the reply 🙄

The All Blacks did that shit in the haka all the time until the world got soft. Bring on the second half.

People.come on! it was a figure of speech. Wait til I come back. Just relax your undies 🤣

Coles and a Rebels player were going at it. In rush several players mainly Canes players first. There’s a pile on of sorts. Rebels players trying to get their man. Canes players trying to get Coles. Jules was getting into and Ardie just comes in and flings a player. Unnecessary in my view, but it happened.
Ardie was unhappy with the YC and made a beeline for the halfback 😁

Rebels stuffed at least 2 opportunities. That’s not including the sequence when the Canes played good D on the line.
Rebels forwards offer very little in attack.
It’s interesting how the Canes use Morgan in attack. He’s rarely in the first line and is almost a secondary playmaker.

Yeah, they like to use his pace running around the back of the first receiver, gets a little predictable when they do it too much. Jordie needs to get his hands on the pill more in the second half.

I watched the whole thing live (on TV).
He walked in to separate things, then literally rag dolled a bloke out which escalated it then lost his head when given the YC.
IF somebody does a hit and run, should we be lauding him for indicating to turn a a corner before the hit and run?
I have no comment on if the YC was deserved. For the rag doll, perhaps not, but the ref says it was for repeat offence. No view on that one as only got one eye on the first 30 mins of the game.

Ardie was trying to calm the situation . Ref is handling it well 🙄Ardie was trying to calm the situation?
What coverage are you watching? He saw the red mist and lost his head.

Perhaps watch the 15 seconds prior to that.

Try again with your eyes open this time.

He did nothing at first other than exhorting players not to escalate. Somehow the Rebels five eighth is in there and Ardie rightly flings him out. Doleman considers that action as Ardie is "third player in escalating". That's his explanation. His words.

Shit analogy is shit.

I just rewatched as I couldn’t work out what happened first time.
Coles most likely mouthed off but it was Blue 4 that took him to ground off the ball and after the whistle. It was more than the refs “push and shove”. Coles was having his head pushed hard into the ground by Blue 4.
The escalation happened from Blue who all kept marching forward at yellow who were standing still. Blue 10 in particular fought his way through from the back to be standing right over Coles. Ardie looked to pull him away before he stepped on prone heads.
All bullshit stuff but I don’t think the officials got it right. Nothing escalated after Ardie yanked the player away. -
What you mean to say is "Agree to Disagree".
-
Nice patient start to the half by the Canes, unlucky not to get the try there.
-
Rebels defence on their heels. But they did well to hold up Aumua who usually scores in those situations.

It balances out the YC that should never have been given to Wilkin.
Doleman is just meh.
Yes he is, but that's a clear YC. As Ayoub once famously said; "if there was a snake in there..."

Now one of the AR’s trying to make a name themselves. YC.

What the fuck, there was nothing in that.
